NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT My Dearest Companion, I know we are living in some difficult times, where fear wants to grip our hearts and minds. I am no stranger to battle and battling the enemy of fear and the devil himself. As a young married couple, our children were attacked. I was told my 10-year-old daughter would have a lifelong disease, then counseled by the University Hospital to abort our unborn baby at 7 months, as she was to be born with deformity and mental illness. Just when we thought it could not get worse, I was informed after what started as a routine eye appointment, that my 7 year old son had a cancerous inoperable tumor twice the size of a golf ball in the middle of his brain. Again, fear tried to grip me. So sweet and so young and a faithful little boy he was, Rev. Jason & Maria Woolford memorizing scripture; as a matter of fact, during some chemo visits I would hear him in the shower vomiting and in between throwing up he would say “heal me my Lord,” “save me oh Lord,” and “I shall be saved.” Then he would vomit and then say, “God, you are the same yesterday, today, and forever,” and then again and again reciting scripture: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.” One of the most troubling times for me was like usual, I would tuck him into bed, pray for him, kiss him and then run my fingers through his hair. Except this night would be different, as when I ran my fingers through his hair it began to fall out in clumps. I tried not to cry, but to be strong. Instead, I started to cry and my son reassured me, “it is okay, daddy”. Fear wants to take hold of our minds and hearts. We must guard the gates to our mouths, ears and eyes. It is in these times that we must confess the same verses my son and family did during his battles. We never allowed the last thing to be spoken over our children, or us, to be contrary to the Word of God. We combated the “little t” truths with the “big T” Truths, God’s Word. There is power in the spoken Word of God. His word does not return void, and we must remember in the midst of our battle and fear that we serve a God who says fear not. He has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and a sound mind.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. God is calling you to confess and believe the greater truth, speak his Word and believe it. I know things do not always work out the way we expect but I am happy to tell you we as a family replace worry with worship, fear with faith, and our God healed our daughter of lupus, our youngest was born healthy and is a U.S. Marine, and our son’s tumor vanished from the middle of his brain. He is now 24 and completing Bible College. We - you and I - serve a mighty God. Replace fear with faith, speak his Word over every fear giant that is before you and watch Him work. Glory to God! This is why we - I - believe in sending the Word of God around the globe for free, because it truly is our only, first, and last hope!!!

HEAR ABOUT JASON II’s STORY OF HEALING NOTE FROM JASON II: A lot of you already know that when I was eight years old I was diagnosed with a cancerous and inoperable brain tumor in the center of my brain. Doctors told us that I was going to die and there was nothing to stop it. This was a test of faith for my family and I, but we anchored our hope and victory in the one and only God! During this time we hit many walls and it seemed like things were going to turn out for the worst. But when we got to the end of ourselves and the end of our strength, God showed up!! So we did one last MRI even though the doctors told us that it is pointless because the tumor was still there and I was still going die. But when we got the results we saw that the tumor that was once there vanished completely like it was never there before!! God healed me! So I share my testimony as a reminder to myself and everyone that God’s timing is perfect and he makes no mistakes! God has a destiny for all of us and we should pursue him relentlessly! Do you know what is on page 1 of this book? Neither do I. This is something I take with me and ask every time I preach. I was given this book after JJ’s diagnosis, but we chose to trust in God rather than man’s resource guides.

OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19

These past few months, we have heard information about the Covid-19 virus out of Wuhan, China almost non-stop. Whether this virus was an attack or accidental, I thought, what could I do to have the biggest impact on that area?

I can tell you that many thoughts crossed my mind as a Marine, but then there is God! So in April, we as a missions organization sent the first of two containers, nearly $1 million in donated Bibles and Christian books to China, where the WORD will be distributed, absolutely free. Please pray, as only a portion of this effort has been sponsored! You may visit our website to give toward these shipments. We have one of two sea containers sponsored.

Please pray about sponsoring either the full remaining container at $12,000, or a portion of it.

Hundreds of thousands of people will read about the one and only true God as a result. You will be the deliverer of hope to those coming out of likely the toughest economic slump they have ever experienced. Your work to send the Word of God will lead others to put their trust in a God who is bigger than Covid-19, bigger than their fears of what’s to come, bigger than any earthly trial.

Would you prayerfully consider one of two ways to partner together?

We sent $1 million in donated Mission Cry Bibles and Christian books to China on April 9th. I figured if the devil is working overtime in that area, then we will too with the Word of God, the only thing that does not return void!

We need to raise the remaining $12,000, as we sent these containers by faith.

Additionally, we have just ordered and received 25,0000 of our Mission Cry NASB Bible with a discipleship program and plan of salvation. We will be sending some of these to Africa, India and China during this time. Each Bible is $2, which includes publishing and shipping it to someone overseas who cannot afford a Bible.

INDIAIN THE TRENCHES God is doing a great work in India, and we have had the opportunity to reach some of the most unreached people there with his Word. This past February, we visited our friend TL and saw the reach we’re having through his ministry to orphans, as well as the Bible school where he is training up pastors and future missionaries.

Since 1993, our Mission Cry missionary TL and his wife Ruth have taken in 125 orphan children. While all these children have been under their care and financial support, they have also legally been adopted by TL and Ruth. These children have more than shelter and their basic needs met; they are truly and deeply loved. In 1995, the first four orphan children were killed by terrorists. Since then, 95 children have grown and moved out of TL’s home, going on to become teachers, nurses, a lawyer, software engineers, business administrators, hair stylists, entrepreneurs, pastors, missionaries, and more! There are currently 26 children under TL and Ruth’s care, living in their home.

In addition to the orphanage, TL has planted 186 churches. Of these, 100 are located throughout India, with others in nearby countries. Your sponsorship of TL’s orphans and church plants goes to support the care of these children, pastors, and surrounding communities with basic necessities and with the Word of God.

While in India, we were also able to visit a hospital that takes in the homeless and those who are sick. These people have no hope of healing from any conventional doctor. The missionary who takes these precious people in gives them a place where they can be comfortable and experience the love of Christ in their last days on this earth.

After being released from prison 23 years ago, a man drove a rickshaw for a living and, while doing so, noticed the homeless who were dying on the streets.

He began picking these people up and taking them to his home where he would care for them.

His intention was to give them a place where they could

be loved, and live out the remainder of their days with dignity. Of the 30,000 he has taken in since, 13,000 have survived and gone on from the home. Many of the people who are brought in are led to the Lord.

Currently, the home serves 700 people.

The bottom floor functions as a hospital, while there is a four story housing wing for men and a four story housing wing for women. Due to your generosity. we were able to bring these people the Word of God! They have received Bibles and books from YOU, our partners.

2020 VISION PROJECTS

INCOME PROPERTY SOUTH SUDAN BIBLE Mission Cry was gifted a property which requires renovations. Upon completion, we will rent the property. This rental income will provide funds to send Bibles overseas.

Far Reaching Ministries, a ministry which trains soldiers as missionaries to South Sudan, has partnered with us to create the Military Bible.

At $2 per Bible, help us reach our goal of sponsoring 25,000 Bibles to South Sudan.

MISSION CRY BIBLE PASTORAL TRAINING You can partner with us by sponsoring Mission Cry Bibles. $2 per Bible includes publishing AND shipping each Bible overseas.

Our goal is for 50,000 people around the world to receive these Bibles in 2020.

We’ll support training for 100 pastors per month by providing them with a pastoral study library, including 30,000 Bibles and books for evangelism.

ORPHANAGE We have partnered with our Mission Cry missionary in India, to help build an orphanage and support the orphans he and his wife care for. This will also go toward the Mission Cry distribution center that they run.

SEA CONTAINERS For the year 2020, we have committed to sending a sea container to Uganda, the Netherlands, Kenya and Hong Kong, as well as many other nations needing God’s Word.

From the President: Sanna has been on my team for nearly 10 years. As she is moving into retirement, I would ask that while you read this, you would remember her in prayer. She has been an armor bearer and prayer warrior for me and this ministry. She has been faithful in helping thousands get the Word of God around the globe. Sanna will be missed as a full time employee, friend and sister in Christ Jesus. If you would like to send her a card you can mail it to the ministry, and she will receive it. Sanna has a heart for missions and loves the Lord Jesus, therefore I love and respect her greatly.

Sanna, you will be missed, and I can only imagine all of those who will someday greet you in heaven.

SENDING THE WORD TO SOUTH SUDAN As you may already know, Mission Cry has teamed up with a ministry out of California, Far Reaching Ministries (FRM), to reach the nation of South Sudan through their military chaplaincy program. Through this connection, God has led us to new ground and given us the opportunity to send a container of Bibles there. This opportunity has come out of our partnership with Wes Bentley, founder of FRM, and the organization.

Wes Bentley is a former Marine and missionary who founded FRM in 1998 out of the vision God gave him to reach the entire continent of Africa. FRM has planted churches and Bible schools throughout African nations, and Mr. Bentley currently resides in the States where he trains up chaplains to advance the Kingdom as they serve the Military. Upon graduation, the chaplains are immediately commissioned and sent to minister at the front lines in South Sudan.

It is because of this God-ordained connection that we have an open door into Sudan, and we are infiltrating the country with God’s Word.

A GREAT COMMISSION

Upon graduation, chaplains are deployed to front line battle units, as well as non-combat units. Chaplains deployed to front line combat zones promote human rights, ensure the well-being of prisoners of war (POW), serve as clergy to wounded or dying soldiers, evangelize, disciple Christian soldiers, teach Bible studies, conduct church services, as well as serve as spiritual mentors and counselors.

LIGHT IN DARK PLACES

Terrorized by the Government of Sudan and a group known as the Lord’s Resistance Army, the people of South Sudan have experienced decades of poverty, violence, child abduction, and many forms of torture because of their Christian beliefs. FRM is there with night shelters for those displaced from their homes, teaching Bible studies to children and caring for orphans.

Over 5 years ago I was standing in line at a sporting goods store and what happened next could only be God’s divine intervention. While waiting to check out, I noticed a young man behind me missing a leg, and in its place was a prosthetic. Immediately our eyes connected; instantly I knew from the Lord that he wanted to hurt himself or hurt someone. After checking out I followed him to his car as I wanted to tell him what I saw on his face. Walking behind him and trying to get his attention he just kept walking and got into his jeep. I approached his window and I noticed a department of defense sticker on

his window from a Marine Base and knew he must be a Marine. Standing at his window he yelled from behind the window with rage “what do you want”. I too am a Marine and knew of our comradery and immediately said, “I am a Marine”. Without hesitation he said “Oh” and rolled down his window. I began to tell him what I saw on his face in line and he began to cry and said “How could you possibly know something like that?” I proceeded to tell him I am a believer in God, a Christian, and that God loved him enough to show me that. I asked him what he was going through and that I noticed his leg. He began to tell me that he was blown up in Afghanistan in a Humvee, he lost his leg, his other leg totally mangled, many more surgeries, nearly three years in a military hospital, nearly every bone was broken or fractured in his body, and he was now home having to deal with all that comes with that. Medication mixed with alcohol and other things, a body blown up, and the mental scars of war plagued him. I told him God is real and loves you, I ministered to him telling him the God who created the universe loves you enough for us to be having this conversation. I gave him my number and told him to go home and pray, and God would reveal himself to him (Corey). A few

days later he called and mentioned that he prayed and knew God was real but did not know what to do next. We met for lunch and he said those simple words, “Lord Jesus forgive me of sin, be my Lord and savior” and instantly he was saved. I would like to say all was perfect after that but then he did not talk to me for over a year and ignored me as he now had conviction to the way he was living.

Eventually, we would reunite, and since then God has freed him of substance abuse, his wife has been saved, God has given them a beautiful baby boy, he and his family attend church and he works for Mission Cry helping change lives around the globe. What a mighty God we serve.
