Hello, and welcome to the Lyceum’s Summer 2024 brochure, where we’ll see some of your favourite stars returning to Crewe, and host of exciting new events that make it a season for audiences of all ages.
Some of my highlights for this season include An Evening With Graham Norton, Sh!t-Faced Theatre: A Midsummer Night’s Dream – an adult only look at the Shakespearean classic. Shows for the little ones including Fireman Sam and Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler much-loved book, Zog And The Flying Doctors comes to life in June. Operation Julie – a new musical recounting the story of one of the largest drug raids in UK history – think Breaking Bad in the Welsh countryside!
The team at The Lyceum look forward to welcoming you all soon.
Last summer’s sell-out success is back to prog-rock the UK.
Theatr na nÓg and Aberystwyth Arts Centre present one of the most jaw-dropping true stories ever to come out of Wales…OPERATION JULIE.
Breaking Bad collides with The Good Life in this anarchic play with music from the 70’s prog-rock, performed live on stage by 9 talented actor-musicians. It tells the incredible story of the undercover operation that resulted in dozens of arrests and the discovery of LSD worth £100 million, and smashed one of the most extraordinary drug rings the world has ever seen.

However, Pearl’s uncle, the King, has other ideas about whether princesses should be doctors, and she’s soon locked up in the castle back in a crown and a silly frilly dress!
With a bit of help from some friends and half a pound of cheese, can Pearl make her uncle better and prove princesses can be doctors too?
