ARGONAUT FLEET RECREATION TOURS
Interested in experiencing the beauty and history of the island of Crete? Several tours are available every day!
Tour prices are subject to change due to the fluctuation of euro to the U.S. dollar, check with the Fleet Recreation office at the Argonaut for the current rates. FRC will confirm tour information on arrival. Tours could be canceled at a moment’s notice due to inclement weather conditions or situations beyond our control.
Please ensure that participants bring euro cash as many local stores and restaurants do not accept credit cards.

ARGONAUT FLEET RECREATION SPORTS GAMES & TOURNAMENTS
The following provides information from the MWR Athletics and Fitness Center, which will assist you in:
• Organize games and tournaments with the varsity base teams at NSA Souda Bay in the following sports: basketball, soccer, flag football, softball and volleyball.
• Reserve the gym, pool, soccer and softball fields upon request. We also have a 5K route laid out for any fun run activities visiting ships want to conduct.
Stella Kopasi will be your point of contact for arranging games, tournaments, 5K runs and reservations of the Fitness Center, the swimming pool, and/or the softball/soccer fields.

Keep in mind that NSA Souda Bay is eight (8) miles away from Marathi Pier. If there is a game scheduled at NSA Souda Bay, please make sure you provide your own transportation to and from the pier or get on the buses to NSA Souda Bay in a timely manner to make game time.
If you cannot make it to a game or will be running late, please notify Byron P. Gale II, MWR Athletics and Fitness Director, via email or cell phone.
The NSA Souda Bay base teams will wait 30 minutes after the original game time only if no notification by the visiting ship is given to MWR Athletics and Fitness Director.
Please note that if a visiting ship team does not show up or forfeits without an early notice, the ship will pay the cost for the officials and scorekeeper.
