THE CREST LOGO –REMASTERED.

A logo says a lot about a brand. So it’s important to review it, keep it modern and ensure it reflects the brand’s current positioning. Here’s how and why we’ve developed our new logo:

• Improved brand recognition: a simpler logo is easier to remember.

• Greater versatility: a cleaner design works better across a wider range of mediums and sizes.

• Increased professionalism: a modern, minimalist logo demonstrates a brand is relevant and in touch with trends.

• Better scalability: simpler logos maintain their integrity more when resized.

• Added timelessness: a well-executed logo can have a timeless quality, reducing the need for frequent redesigns.

LOGO VARIATIONS

We have light themed and dark themed logos to work on a variety of coloured backgrounds.

We use two brand colours for our logo: blue and light sand. This combination reflects Crest Nicholson’s premium heritage and trusted reputation, bringing balance, clarity and consistency across every application.

The sand colour replaced the gold for several reasons:

• Modernisation and freshness

• Adds understated elegance

• A neutral colour is more versatile across various media, backgrounds and materials

• Eco-friendly and earthy associations

• Differentiation from other competitors that use gold

The logo comes in two different configurations, being arranged vertically and horizontally. When possible the vertical is our preferred logo. The horizontal logo is used sparingly where the space dictates.

Our logo is to be used in the following ways:

1 & 3: These logos should only be used on a dark/solid background.

2 & 4. These logos should be used on a sand/white background

*NB: Where the logo has to be shown on an image, please make sure the background is dark enough to ensure legibility of our brand.

PROTECTING OUR LOGO

For clarity across print and digital applications, our logo needs space to stand out. The clear space, based on half the width of the Crest Shield, is there to protect the clarity and ensure the brand stands out.

In specific formats the logo may be used with a reduced clear space in exceptional circumstances.

COLOUR PALETTE

This is built around our primary colours – blue and teal. These are supported by a secondary palette of sand, light sand, dark teal and merlot. Together, these tones create a distinctive and versatile system –premium, balanced and instantly recognisable.

Two primary colours: the most important, default ones to help recognise the Crest Nicholson brand.

Four secondary colours: can be used to reinforce or to change the tone of the communication.
