Quick History

The Mayfair & Scotia Bank

Originally built in 1927, this building was first home to The Mayfair Theatre with seating for 478 guests. This live-entertainment venue eventually closed down in the mid 1950’s and was taken over by Scotia Bank at 347 Jane St, Baby Point Lounge at 345 and 343 Jane St on the main floor and lower level, and Baby Point Billiards on the 2nd floor at 349 Jane St.

347 Jane St The Office - West Toronto

A boutique co-working space, The Office - West Toronto now occupies the main floor at 347 Jane St. This bright space lets entrepreneurs easily run their successful businesses in Toronto by poviding everything a business needs through cost-effective leases. A member has their choice of private office (7 available; the vault used by Scotia Bank is currently repurposed to a jeweler’s office), a semi-private cubicle (6 available), a hot desk (6 available), or virtual office where members pay a monthly fee to use of The Office’s address as their own business address and receive mail to The Office.

KITCHENETTES + FEATURES

The Office has a kitchenette at the front and back of the space for members to use. The kitchenette at the front has a sink and bar fridge for beverages. The kitchenette at the back has a sink, a hidden fridge and freezer built into the shelving, basic appliances for cooking food, and seating for members.

The Office has a fantastic security sytem with cameras throughout, programmable front doors, both Bell and Rogers internet, a KYOCERA printer, and two washrooms and storage room in the lower level.

343-345 Jane St Baby Point Lounge

The Baby Point Lounge provides Ukrainian cuisine for take out and catering, as well as hosts events in the venue space for large groups of people in the lower level at 343 Jane St.

Along with a front hot counter, this space has two full kitchens (one on the main mloor, one on the lower level), front entrances for both 343 and 345 Jane St, as well as shared rear exit on the main floor at 345 Jane St.

Lower Level

A full venue suite, the lower level of Baby Point Lounge at 343 Jane St has front door access from Jane St. A coat check and washroom area lead visitors into the open event space with plenty of room for dancing and celebrating. Serve drinks at the bar located next to the kitchen that services the events held in this space. Also located in this lower level, next to the coat check area, is the utility room housing the recently upgraded boiler and other utilities for the whole building.

2ND FLOOR

349 Jane St The Pointe Dance Centre

The 2nd floor of this building is currently a dance studio hosting lessons and summer camps for young dancers. This space has its own lobby area, two washrooms, and three huge dance studios throguhout the space.

The studio at the back of the property has a rear exit walk out with stairs leading to the ground at the back of the property’s main floor exterior.

EXTERIOR + UTILITIES

The building comes equipped with a security and camera system throughout 347 Jane St.

Recent updates (1 year) to the water boiler system makes the boiler more effecient.

When the The Office began, roughly $400,000 of reno updates were implemented to make it the space it is today, including $100,000 in updating the front facade and window glazing.

The building is incredibly sturdy, able to support additions for multiple levels above the 2nd floor. Ask about the drawings for residential additions!
