For the past 20+ years, Knott County Central High School's Speech Team has built a reputation of being one of Kentucky's best programs After facing life-altering floods that forever changed Knott County, these students rallied to place Runner-Up in the recent state competition, with many performers winning State Championships for their individual performances Now they are heading to Phoenix, Arizona for the National Competition.
On May 13th, Crescent Hill will host a showcase of these talented, articulate, and resilient students ahead of their national competition. Entry to the showcase is open to all, with a suggested donation of $10 that would go towards the team's expenses in getting to nationals
In addition to supporting these young people who have overcome so much, we will be treated to state championship-winning performances in categories like: humorous interpretation, informative speaking, duo interpretation, and many others.
Calling all artists! Bring your artwork or art supplies to the Youth Room on May 8 at 10am. Work on artistic projects either as a group or individually. Offer tips to fellow artists and possibly learn something new as well!.
