Facilitating conversations
With colleagues from across the UK and Ireland, we launched the Creative Network conversations at the start of the pandemic: a series of online get-togethers open to anyone involved in arts, culture and creativity in order to connect and collaborate.

Facilitating these conversations enabled people from across the UK, Ireland and beyond to talk with others, develop ideas and projects, and find sustainable ways forward in changing circumstances. The sessions were an amazing experiment – a creative thinktank for the sector – and a very effective way of building our connections during this challenging period.
The Creative Network sessions have since developed into a series of thematic and geographical online gatherings, including the Creative Network Local Arts Wales, which aims to offer opportunities to share and celebrate the work that takes place across Wales, and to link local arts development with national policy.
To date, 15 sessions of the Creative Network Local Arts Wales have been delivered, with over 240 participants, exploring topics including The Arts in Wales as an Ecosystem, Creativity and Connection in Older Age, Creative Recovery and New Opportunities for Collaboration.
