Steven received his MDiv from CRCDS with the class of 1991; was ordained in 1993 and is currently serving as pastor of Community Christian Church in Chili, NY. Norman received his undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1970 and his law/JD degree from Cornell in 1975 after serving in the US Army. He has been happily retired for many years from the Kodak Legal Department. We are investing our financial resources in CRCDS's future because we believe this institution is walking the Jesus Way, demonstrating a long history of, and present day commitment to social justice, academic integrity and progressive theology."

Gift planning is the process of deciding how to best transfer your assets during your lifetime as well as at death. If you are interested in furthering the mission of CRCDS while reducing taxes and possibly increasing your income, you may want to consider a planned gift.. Alumni/ae and friends who make legacy gifts to CRCDS in their estate plans play a key role in our fiscal stability. Their gifts build the endowment, a perpetual fund whose income provides essential financial support for all aspects of CRCDS. We recognize the commitment of these visionary donors by extending to them membership in the Horizon Society. CRCDS has had an active gift planning program since 1984, and in 1994 the Horizon Society was created to honor its members for their commitment to preparing women and men for ministry. The Horizon Society members understand the critical need to strengthen CRCDS’s future by providing gifts that will support academic excellence, student scholarships, and the development of progressive and transformative leaders. Pat said “when I learned that BMTS would become a legal entity on the CRCDS Campus, my hope & dream that the strength, spirit & wisdom of women would bring a new & deeper dimension to theological education and richer community life. I chose the Charitable Gift Annuity because I believed it would be administered as well as the MMBB Funds of ABC/USA and I would be investing in the cause that has been central to my life. Living in the Rochester Area I have been able to participate in many ways and rejoice in what I see happening these days.
