This drawing-based art education program uses a simple directed drawing method to help students produce whimsical works of art using artist quality mediums and their imagination. Take time away from your busy week with a quiet calming restorative yoga class. Restorative yoga rejuvenates both the mind and the body activating the parasympathetic response to support healing, weight loss and mental focus. Watercolor for Relaxation Ages 16+
This class is designed to help you de-stress through the process of painting. We will begin with a few warm-up exercises followed by a 10-minute deep breathing exercise to help you completely relax. Then tapping into our intuition, we will use watercolor painting to calm our minds. Along the way Missy will share watercolor techniques, painting tips and color theory. This class is about using the process of painting as a mindfulness tool removing the stress of having to create a product. No watercolor experience is necessary. Each class is a different lesson or project, so participants are encouraged to join multiple times! Location: FAC Rm. 206 or Rm. 112. Instructor: Missy Hancock, Rooted Designs.
