Kelley Chisholm, an International Aid and Development Aficionado, Foxglove Project Founder, Author and Speaker and Development and Change Researcher will be the guest speaker at Jurien Bay Nondenominational Community Church at 9.30am on Sunday the 30th August, 2020 in the CWA building on Bayliss Street, Jurien Bay.

Kelley has a diverse work background across secondary teaching, community services, elite sport, small business, marketing and promotion, international development and church leadership, working in a leadership role at Riverview Church between 2000 and 2012. She currently attends and works one day for Westcity Church.

JURIEN BAY NONDENOMINATIONAL COMMUNITY CHURCH

The church service focus topic will be: “Grassroots Rwanda: Changing the face of Rwanda”. Kelley will talk about the capacity of people and countries to change their futures from hardship and war to sufficiency and peace. At 1.00pm there will be an inspiring conversation about the difference we can make in supporting others, even those living in poverty, to change their own lives and futures. This will be followed with afternoon tea, with the opportunity to have an informal chat with Kelly plus a fantastic opportunity to buy gifts made by women from these countries who remind us of the amazing capacity of people to help themselves.”

Kelley Chisholm, leads the Foxglove Project, a charity empowering women and girls in the Developing World. She will share stories about her work and the difference it is making for women and their families in Rwanda, India and Cambodia. All those interested are welcome to attend. She is passionate about women and gender issues, both in the local and international context, which underpins her enthusiasm for founding kinwomen,

In 2014, Kelley established The Foxglove Project, a registered charity focused on supporting international development projects that are sustainable and driven by indigenous leadership. Kelley combines these passions with a love of family and faith. Across more than 30 years, she has worked through many of life’s expected and unexpected challenges while raising three sons. Now those boys are young men changing the dynamics of family life and relationships. One of her great joys is sharing parenting lessons and learning from good and bad (sometimes disastrous) experiences. She uses humour and common sense to talk about the everyday challenges facing parents in today’s context.
