824JANUARY 2024 3FEBRUARY JULY 2023 2025 Message from the Headmaster
I trust that you all had an enjoyable and, hopefully, restful half term. It has been great to welcome back pupils and staff this week and we are looking forward to the longer and lighter days of the second half of term. Over half term, a number of pupils in Years 9 and 10 travelled to Dubai for an exciting multi-sports tour during which they were able to train at the Sevens Stadium, participating in a wide range of sports.
Earlier this week, our Year 11 pupils impressed our Head of English, Mr Chapman, with their GCSE English presentations covering some interesting and engaging topics. On Thursday, Year 11 GCSE Musicians recorded their ensemble pieces, showcasing their talent and passion for music.
Looking towards the future, our Year 10 pupils and their parents were warmly welcomed at the EST Sixth Form evening on Monday. They were able to learn about the excellent academic and super curricular opportunities in Sixth Form along with the exciting development of additional classrooms, sports facilities and social spaces. On Wednesday, a team of Senior School pupils went to London to participate in the E-Sports competition. Mr Afana reported that they were superb ambassadors for the school throughout the event.
