This Week

Bible Reading

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark.

A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. Some men came, bringing to him a paralysed man, carried by four of them.

Reflection

Our Value for this coming year is the value of Compassion. To have eyes that are open to the needs of others is to have eyes open to Christ who dwells in our midst; especially amongst the poor On Sunday 7th September Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati were canonised by Pope Leo. The Pope drew our attention to these two great young people who were driven to incredible acts of Compassion by their love for Jesus. Let us like wise seek to open the eyes of our hearts and reach out to those in need this year.

Prayer

Loving and compassionate God, We believe that you are present in this place and in our school. Help us throughout the year ahead to remain close to You. Help us to be the best that we can be and to work well with those around us. May we walk alongside others and may our hearts be compassionate to all we meet. Amen.

“May today there be peace within May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be ” St Teresa of Lisieux
