3 MARCH 2025 3 JULY 2023 Message from the Head of Prep Finally there seems to be a sense of spring in the air and the evenings are growing lighter. We marked the start of Lent with a special Ash Wednesday service for all of Prep and Father Charles was once again blown away by the children’s singing. Their rendition of ‘Longing for Light’ was particularly impressive. Our musicians have been working hard and many children have been busy today with their ABRSM exams. We look forward to hearing about their results in due course.
Thank you to everyone involved in making our Book Week celebrations so special. An enormous amount of work goes into organising the various author visits, book-themed quizzes, lesson activities and an incredible World Book Day menu for lunch. I know that the talks by our visiting authors, Sophy Henn and Steve Cole, were particularly popular. Thanks must also go to our families for the amazing costumes that the children wore today.
This morning, Mr Everitt and I were able to meet with the CPA for their AGM. Thank you to those who play such an important part in our school community in running this organisation. It was lovely to be able to spend time with them and we are already excited about next Friday’s CPA Quiz which I am sure will be another fantastic evening.
