17 MARCH 2025 3 JULY 2023 Message from the Head of Prep

Congratulations to our Under 11 football team on being crowned champions in the National Finals at the weekend, beating Millfield on penalties in the final. The standard of competition at this level is incredibly high so to secure a national title is an amazing achievement. Well done to the boys involved and thank you to the staff and families who supported them. We played host to another fiercely contested competition over the weekend, where teams from the local area came to do battle against one another to see who would prevail. It was clear from the outset that a number of teams had devoted time to preparing for this special event. In a nail-bitingly close finish, a tie-break was needed to decide the eventual winners. I hope that everyone has now recovered from the exertions of this year’s CPA Quiz and they are already formulating their plans for next year. We are very grateful to the team behind the organisation of this fantastic evening. Keeping with the competitive theme, the Auditorium was the venue for this week’s Upper Prep House Music Competition where the value of community was explored through song. Each House performed brilliantly and our visiting judge was tasked with the unenviable job of picking a winner. Congratulations to Radford House on their triumph this year with their thoughtful rendition of ‘Sing’ by Gary Barlow.
