Message from the Headmaster Dear Parents There is an unwavering abundance of energy and enthusiasm in the school this week as pupils prepare for the forthcoming festive traditions in the final week of term. Our Lower Prep pupils gave outstanding performances in three delightful Nativities, while our Upper Prep and Senior School pupils have been busy recording readings and music for the Carol Service. Our older pupils have also been taking part in a ‘Languages Advent Calendar of Compassion’ and have been learning a carol in French, Spanish and Latin. In assembly, our School Captain from 2016, Salvatore Nigrelli, demonstrated his dedication and focus to music during a recorded performance on the oboe. He highlighted the importance of starting instruments at a very young age and reminded pupils of the many musical opportunities that will be available to them as they get older. At the end of this term, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Loader, who has worked as both a teacher and teaching assistant, and to retiring Nursery teacher Mrs Woods. I am hugely grateful for their contribution to Cranmore and for fostering an exceptional learning environment. Miss Sophie Yeates will join us in January as a teaching assistant and Mrs Ellie Kelly will lead the Forest School for Nursery. Miss Dew, one of our school nurses, will begin her maternity leave. Mrs Adele Smyth, an experienced school nurse, will be joining us in January. Looking ahead to next week, pupils and staff are very much looking forward to the many exciting events which will take place, such as our pupil Christmas raffle, festive lunch and Christmas Jumper Day. It promises to be a very exciting end to the term. Have a lovely weekend. Mr Everitt
