West House Newsle er Summer Term 2016 Summer Term 2016
Dear West Parents, It is with a slightly heavy heart that I write this; as I sit in my office in a house without girls, it is slowly dawning on me that I will not be the one welcoming them back in September. As excited as I am about my new role, I am only too aware that much of the fun element of my job (which let’s face it, comes from being around pupils), will be gone, and that is a really strange feeling. As I said at my leaving party (and I won’t forget that in a hurry), West really is a community and as hard as I have had to work at mes, in order to help your daughters nego ate teenage life, I, and my family, have gained so, so much in return. I guess that is what a community should be, and I know that this is what it will con nue to be. I would therefore like to thank you all, for all your help and support with this crazy community, ‐ you really have been so encouraging. As sad as I know the girls are to lose their beloved Miss Webb as well as Miss Greenwood, Miss Leach, and Mr Saxel to South, I know they wish them well! I would also like to wish Mrs Worsley, Mrs Bukow‐ ska, Miss Parry and Miss Wiles all the best in running West next year. I know they will be fantas c and as relieved as I am that I will no longer be doing early morning wake‐ups, I am in equal parts very envious. As for the girls, I have told them over and over again that I shall miss them so much though at least I s ll get to see them from my office
window! To my amazing UVIth leavers, I need to say well done on being such a fantas cally posi ve group. I could not have asked for more in my last year and to the new prefects, good luck and I know you will be fantas c. Have an amazing summer! Andrea, Richard, Ava and Isla x
