Housemaster’s Words It’s been a great term for Loveday. We’ve welcomed lots of new faces (including my own!) and we’ve all settled in really well. It is a testament to the friendly atmosphere that the boys create that we can have 25 new boys and 4 new staff turn up in September and then within a few weeks they are fully assimilated into the Loveday-way. We’ had success in all aspects of School-life with wins in inter-House competitions in Music, Sport and Academics this term. Combined with so many individual outstanding performances across the School it has been a very busy but truly fantastic time. I asked the boys to live by a simple mantra at the start of the year ‘HEK House’ and in many ways they have done just that and the successes of this term are as a result of the ethos that they create. Each and every one of the boys has faced challenges over the past few months but the way in which they support each other when these bumps in the road knock them offcourse is the most important aspect of living in a boarding community and something that Loveday boys do really well. I know that this will continue next term when it throws up another set of challenges and obstacles.
