An East Win in the Senior House Tennis

House tennis was another huge success for East as we retained the tle for, what is believed to be, the 25th year in a row. When looking at the teams at the start of the day, it appeared like it would a ght compe on. However, contribu ons in the third and fourth pairs made up of Michael Dolman, Josh Wise, Rowan v‐s and Ma Cordwell, made sure it was another East event to remember. East managed to brush aside all three houses only losing in one match. Well done to the team which also included Giles Pamplin, Ollie Metcalfe, and Will Dean – a great performance from everyone.

Seniors smash Loveday in House Cricket and the Juniors finish 3rd Ted Croker and Rufus Wilkinson Senior XI In the semi‐final, we played North who we put in to bat first. Charlie Rollings and Harry Adolphus got us off to a great start. Despite losing a few up top, we con nued to score well. Ul mately, we finished with a strong 199 runs. North didn’t score quickly and the increasing pressure from Bruno Broughton and Harry Adolphus with the ball led to an East win. In the final, we came up against a strong Loveday side. We bowled first and throughout the innings we Junior XI fielded well. When pace was taken off the ball, the wickets started to fall. Some good bowling from Lafosse, Harvey, Thomas and Jerrick domina ng Senior House cricket. ski led the team, apart from Will Calnan who injected 60 runs quickly giving them a total of 104. Harvey Jackson hit an excellent 42 runs from very few balls and good knocks from both George Thomas and Alex Jefferies helped to get us across the line. The winning runs were elegantly dispatched by the one and only Max Lafosse who ended up with a strike rate of 400, not bad!
