CONVERGENCE LEARN MOBILE APP – USER GUIDE

Welcome to m-Learning!

Install App and Register Device for Apple (iOS) and Android To use and access the Convergence Mobile App on your Apple (iOS) or Android devices, you will need to install the app and register your device.

Use the steps below for Convergence Learn:

INSTALL THE CONVERGENCE LEARN MOBILE APP Follow these steps to install the apps on your device: 1. Open Apple App Store or Google Play on your device, and search for "Convergence Learn."

2. Download and install the desired app(s) to your device.

3. After the app(s) have downloaded and installed, open the app to begin the onetime registration process on your mobile device.

STEP 1: REGISTER YOUR DEVICE After downloading and installing the app, follow these steps to register your device: 2. When you open the app, you will see a welcome screen, where, if you swipe left, you can read about the different features of the app.

3. Click the blue “Get Started” button at the bottom of the screen.

STEP 2: REGISTRATION Use the “Register Your Device” screen to record your device with your LMS.

Option 1: Scan the QR Code 1. Click the blue “Scan” button just below the blank field. Your device will need to access the device camera.

2. Hold your device over the QR code so the camera can read the code. The device will confirm (typically with a beep) that it has read and scanned the code.

3. Click the blue “Register” button in the lower right-hand corner. You will then see the login screen.

Option 2: Type the Convergence URL:

https://crane.convergencetraining.com 1. Type in the URL: https://crane.convergencetraining.com - Be sure to enter the URL exactly as shown.

2. Once you have typed the URL, click the blue “Register” button in the lower righthand corner. You will then see the login screen. ❶

STEP 3: LOGIN TO THE APP 1. Enter the same Username that you use to access your LMS. 2. Enter the same Password that you use to access your LMS. • Password IS case sensitive.

3. You can choose to keep your username and password for the next time you log in by sliding the Keep Username/Password indicator to Yes. (It will turn green.)

• NOTE: your credentials may be automatically saved depending on your iPhone setup.

STEP 4: CLAIM A SEAT OR REQUEST A SUBSCRIPTION After logging in, you will be prompted to claim a seat: 1. Click the OK button to continue. The Seat prompt will appear.

2. Click the blue Seat button on the Seat or Subscription screen to claim a seat.

3. Click the OK button on the Seat Confirmation screen.

Return to the login screen where you can login to begin to use the app ❶

NOTE: Seats have been setup by our Support Team in accordance with our licensing agreement. Please contact your LMS administrator if you would like to discuss your mobile app licensing.

STEP 5: M-LEARNING GETTING STARTED 1. Login to your Convergence Learn app

Enter the same Username that you use to access your LMS Enter the same Password that you use to access your LMS

NOTE: The audio will not play when the device is in the “silent mode” - Please enable sound on your device. (see troubleshooting section below) Now you should be able to select and complete the desired training!

You will be prompted with the following: 1. Logging into Convergence Learn screen 2. Welcome screen - > please select My Training on the bottom of the screen (all assigned courses will be listed - same as desktop) 3. Launch the desired Course ❶

STEP 6: NAVIGATE M-LEARNING COURSE 1. Once you select the desired course, please select Launch CBT on the bottom of the screen 2. The course will begin -> swipe over to move to the “next” slide 3. To exit the course, expand the gray side bar and select Exit Course ❶

TIPS: you can simply swipe (often preferred) or use ->, <- arrows to move to the next or previous screen. Videos play in full screen mode for your convenience; you will need to minimize the video interface by clicking an “X” on top of the screen to move forward.

TROUBLESHOOTING Q: There is no sound coming from the app iPad / iPhone • Option 1: check the mute switch on the side of your device, next to the volume keys. If you still have no sound, try option 2.

• Option 2: Double tap the home button. A menu of recently used apps will appear at the bottom of your screen. Swipe that menu from left to right, and another menu will appear that has a speaker icon with a line through it. Tap the speaker icon to disable mute.

• Option 3: Open Settings > Use Side Switch for > Switch from rotation lock to mute. Go back to the app and check for sound.

Q: The screen appears to be frozen (black screen) iPad / iPhone • A video may be open, please tap the black screen and minimize the video interface by clicking “X” on top left. The module should resume.

Q: Do I need to complete my training in one session? Should I save my progress?

• No, the app will remember your progress, when you log back in select “CONTINUE”; you can also “RESTART” the course at any time to review the full content (as during our desktop sessions).
