^ess Opportunities for Craftworkers in Co. Council Capital Project

Arts Officers throughout Ireland are currently inviting artists to put their names forward for inclusion on panels for the 1% scheme for art in their respective counties. The 1% scheme for art is funded by the Department of the Environment. Under this scheme, local authorities can allocate 1% of the cost of capital projects - such as roads, housing, public buildings - on an artwork (maximum amount ÂŁ20,000). The artwork will enhance, be an integral part of, or be connected to the project. We have already shown our Visual Database to several Arts Officers at a recent meeting, and we will of course also be supplying them with our full Register of Craftworkers. However, it would be best if you would contact them directly with your up to date c.v. and a selection of slides. If you would like us to send you the list of Arts Officers, please contact: Rhoda Mac Manus, Exhibitions Manager at the Crafts Council's Dublin Office (01-6797383).
