AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER
Florida Heart Associates in Fort Myers, FL completed their mission to complement their existing clinical services by adding a one-story 2,500 SF building expansion to create a new 6,650 SF Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The program includes a newly renovated Cath Lab, a single OR suite with its own sterile processing area, staff locker/changing area, clean and soiled holding, and Clinical Manager Office. The new ASC includes a five-bay Pre-Op and Post-Op suites with a nurse station and support space.

PRA provided design services to create a new 36,000 SF community clinic. This clinic is the new flagship model for clinical care at Aspirus. The first floor houses a lab, imaging suite and walk-in-clinic. The second and third floors are dedicated to specialty clinic services and staff amenities. The interior design for the building is inspired by the surrounding Wausau region with locally sourced natural materials. The building also has a sustainability focus with an innovative geothermal heating and cooling system.
SUNCOAST
ORTHOPAEDIC & SPORTS MEDICINE
Suncoast Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine is a new 20,000 sq ft clinic, built to replace 2 existing leased facilities and to house five providers under one roof. The clinic is laid out in easily identifiable pod clusters, each with 3 exam rooms arranged around a central staff work station. This collaborative working model allows the care team to easily interact with their patients.
ORTHOPAEDIC ASSOCIATES OF WAUSAU & WAUSAU SURGERY CENTER
PRA provided design services to create a 61,500 SF Orthopaedic Clinic and Surgery Center. The 37,500 SF Orthopaedic Clinic is planned with a clear circulation spine supporting five treatment pods. The central core includes x-ray imaging and a connection to a mobile MRI Unit supported by the building. The 24,000 SF Surgery Center has five 600 SF operating rooms with six private pre-op and five post-op rooms, there are four flex rooms with private toilets to support overnight recovery. A centrally located Physical Therapy Gym features 18-foot-tall windows for a dramatic follow-up care space.
LEE HEALTH SURFSIDE OUTPATIENT CENTER
PRA provided architectural and engineering design services for a $6.2M, 15,321 sq. ft. two-story expansion to the existing Lee Health Outpatient Center. The programmatic elements drove the addition of multiple outpatient services to the existing clinic, including a rehab center, orthopedics, neurology and neurosurgery, rheumatology, and endocrinology.
FOREST COUNTY POTOWATOMI CLINIC
PRA provided design services to develop a 9,000 SF renovation and expansion to the existing Potawatomi Clinic in Crandon, WI. This renovation/expansion of the clinic had a goal to recreate how services were provided with the expansion of the entry, reception and waiting functions of the clinic along with redesigning and enlarging the pharmacy. With this focus, the pharmacy was designed to have a new drive-up service window for patients to pick up their medications. Lab, exam rooms and administrative offices were also renovated.
WASSERMAN ULITSKY DERMATOLOGY CLINIC
PRA was engaged to design a contemporary dermatology clinic in Venice, Florida, for an established medical practice that had outgrown its current facility. The physicians sought a sophisticated design aesthetic that would reflect their high standard of care. Functionality was paramount in the design of the new clinic. Dual-entry treatment rooms facilitate efficient movement for staff while ensuring patient privacy.
