The cost of a course varies depending on what you are studying. You may also need to factor in other costs, such as living expenses, stationery, textbooks and equipment, including safety glasses, laboratory coats, gym clothes or a uniform. The Australian Government offers a number of financial support programs, like VET Student Loans, HECS HELP, FEE‑HELP and OS HELP to support eligible students while studying. If you are an international student, in addition to your international tuition fees, you must have sufficient funds to cover expenses mentioned above and other expenses such as accommodation costs and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). CQUniversity offers a comprehensive range of scholarships, bursaries and awards providing both opportunities and financial support. Receiving a scholarship or an award can help you manage the cost of study, looks good on your résumé and may even open doors to other benefits, such as forming relationships with industry contacts, and creating opportunities for work experience and employment. Our range of scholarships and bursaries are tailored to meet the diverse needs and circumstances of our students. While some of our scholarships are awarded on academic merit, others focus on a wide range of criteria, such as course of study, home location, commitment to community engagement and income status. TAFE SUBSIDISED TRAINING
There is a range of Queensland Government subsidised programs available for TAFE courses covering certificate and diploma qualifications. Eligibility criteria vary depending upon the objectives of the program. CQUniversity can assist in assessing Queensland Government Subsidies for your circumstances and advise on eligibility. I’m the second youngest of five brothers and the first in my family to attend university. Without my scholarship, essentially I wasn’t going to be able to study. To me, receiving this scholarship was a massive deal – it’s changed my future, it’s changed my daughter’s future. It’s allowed me to return to study for a career locally rather than working away, that’s going to change my whole quality of life and make me, as a person a lot happier.
