As a graduate, you will be skilled in the art and science of landscape architecture. You will be able to design and construct creative outdoor spaces, using a variety of ornamental plants and other design elements.

WHAT YOU NEED
Minimum Admission Requirements
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with:
• English (4)
• Mathematics (3) or Technical Mathematics (4) or Mathematical Literacy (5)
• Life Sciences (4)
The department utilises an Academic Point Score (APS) as selection criteria once your minimum admission requirements are satisfied. The following scores apply:
• Mainstream: 30 with Maths; 31 with Technical Maths; 32 with Maths Literacy
• Foundation Programme: 28 with Maths; 29 with Technical Maths; 30 with Maths Literacy
Note: Subject to space, students may be admitted to the Foundation Programme if they have at least 40% (3) for Life Sciences.

As part of your workplace-based learning, you could be placed in either a landscape architectural practice, working under SACLAP-registered professionals, or in a landscape construction firm, where you will do construction and maintenance work under SALI-registered professionals.
