Deciding where a road runs and where houses should be built is the task of Urban and Regional Planners. They perform land appraisals and planning surveys, and analyse and present data by using maps, graphs, diagrams and sketches.

WHAT YOU NEED
Minimum Admission Requirements
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with:
• English Home Language or First Additional Language (4)
• Other Home Language or First Additional Language (4)
• Mathematics (4); or Mathematical Literacy (5); or Technical Mathematics (5)
Compulsory:
• Economics (4); or Business Studies (4); or Geography (4); or Tourism (4)
The department utilises an Admission Point Score (APS) as selection criteria once your minimum admission requirements are satisfied. You have to score a minimum of 28 with Mathematics or 30 with Mathematical Literacy on the APS.
