WHAT YOU NEED Minimum Admission Requirements

National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with: • English First Language (4) • Mathematics (4); Technical Mathematics (5) • Physical Sciences (4); Technical Science (5) • Recommended: Mechanical Technology (3) National Certificate: • English, N4 (60%) • Mathematics, N4 (60%) • Engineering Science, N4 (60%) Vocational subjects (NCV4): • English (5) (60–69%) • Mathematics (5) (60–69%) • Engineering Science (3) (min 60%) The department utilises an Admission Point Score (APS) as selection criteria once your minimum admission requirements are satisfied. You have to score a minimum of 30 on the APS for the mainstream course; 27–29 for the Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP); 23–26 should you be wait-listed.

Your on-the-job training You will be required to complete a minimum of six months of in-service training. You will also complete compulsory service learning projects.

YOUR FUTURE SELF Future studies Advanced Diploma in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent at exit NQF Level 7. Further leads into the Postgraduate Diploma: Industrial Engineering; B Eng Tech Honours: Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
