Minimum Admission Requirements: Diploma
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with:

National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4

The department utilises an Academic Point Score (APS) as selection criteria once your minimum admission requirements are satisfied. You also have to score a minimum of 26 with Mathematics, and 28 with Mathematical Literacy on the APS.
Applicants are required to write the online selection test after meeting admission requirements.
Minimum Admission Requirements:
Advanced Diploma: A National Diploma/ Diploma in Clothing Management or Textile Technology or Fashion/ Textile Design may be considered on merit, subject to availability of spaces.
Postgraduate Diploma: An NQF Level 7, Advanced Diploma; BTech; or Bachelor’s qualification in Clothing Management or a cognate qualification. Students should obtain an average of 60% for the qualification; or 60% in the final year of the NQF Level 7 qualification. If the applicant does not have the 60% average, an additional requirement of at least 12 months of relevant Clothing & Textile experience post obtaining the NQF Level 7 qualification would be required.

Your on-the-job training
During Clothing and Textile Professional Practice, you will spend six months in industry, and learn to apply your academic knowledge in practice.
