an
Environmental Health
Practitioner, you will be responsible for implementing measures for protecting public health within a legislative framework. You will also provide support, devise and implement interventions to minimise health and safety risks.

Four years, full-time (Mainstream)
Five years, full-time (Extended Curriculum Programme). First-year subjects offered over two years.
WHAT YOU NEED
Minimum Admission Requirements
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with:
• English (4)
• Mathematics (4) or Technical Maths (5)
• Life Sciences (4)
• Physical Sciences (4)
• Any other two subjects (4), except Life Orientation
The department utilises an Academic Point Score (APS) as selection criteria once your minimum admission requirements are satisfied. You also have to score a minimum of 32 with Mathematics; or 33 with Technical Maths on the APS for the mainstream. Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP): 30 with Mathematics; or 31 with Technical Maths.
