INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CPUT GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE (GBV) SURVEY
GBV SURVEY: AN EXPLORATION OF THE PREVALENCE AND EXTENT OF GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE AT THE CAPE PENINSULA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, TO IMPROVE POLICY AND SUPPORT The Centre for Diversity, Inclusivity and Social Change, in Partnership with Pillar 6 of the Institutional Gender-Based Violence Committee, which focuses on Research and Information Management Systems invites all students and employees to take part in an important study on the experiences and perceptions of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) within our institution. This GBV study aims to:
1. Understand your definition of Gender-Based Violence 2. Assess how prevalent GBV is within and around CPUT 3. Identify common areas of occurrence (on and off campus) 4. Gauge knowledge of reporting and support mechanisms at CPUT 5. Evaluate awareness of survivor support services, on campus and beyond 6. Understand the overall extent of GBV in our institutional context
