What Makes Me Laugh Bryan Naguit, Hetalia references Why Barkada? Barkada gave me so much. Before I came to this school I never imagined joining such a club, or any club in general. But thanks to certain events, I ended up joining and I don’t regret it one bit. Barkada has given me memories, friendship, and happiness and I want to give back to the club that shaped me to who I am now. Wow, I feel so weird talking more about myself LOL Uhhh anyways. Besides doing historian things I love playing music (especially on piano) and dancing, even though I suck. Ugh music, I love it so much, my fav genres are hip hop, rock, and electronic. I love videogames, I’m a die hard Playstation fan, but I still love xbox and PC stuff. I rarely watch tv, cause I have tumblr and anime instead. I’m such a nerd deep down. I’m usually down to eat outside of campus, especially korean barbeque or boba. Ketchup is a passion, not an addiction. I have a political side to myself but you’ll need to ask me about that haha And I also have this constant want to know more about things; like why things are like this, how the world got to where it is, and seeing the full story to history, not just the story we’re taught or told. I like icecream more than Miriya does.

I’m from Diamond Bar and I have three little little brothers. MY FAVORITE COLOR IS PURPLE. I like Disney, if that wasn’t obvious because I like to view the world as magical. I love my Kuya, MY Ate (Renz), my Co-Ading because they’re the greatest family <3 If anyone tries to hurt anyone I care about you better hope I don’t find out, but I probably will, then you better hope I don’t find you. I really like food though (but I’m a semi-picky eater) so if you want to be my best friend then we should get lunch and then get ice cream. I like ice cream more than Warjay does. I love ice cream.

Why Barkada? I have always had Barkada in my life because of my family. Funny story though, I didn’t sign up at the Barkada booth at the club fair because I was too shy to approach them. But I’m so glad I went to the meetings and joined this organization because they give me a reason to keep going.

Why Barkada? Because Barkada is how I got to know the person my uncle was. Jay Radaza was an artist, a leader, a great friend, an inspiration. I hope to make the same impact that he did. I joined so that I have a place to be beside just school and home. I wanted to meet new people and share the love of the Filipino culture with them. So far, Barkada has given me just that & more! It is my home away from home, and a place where I can be me. I hope to give that back to other members.

One morning, right after a big hefty breakfast, I walk to the bus stop with my brother and the bully comes up again. I was literally so sick of this guy that during his bullying session I gathered my entire breakfast to the top of my stomach and threw up all over him. Moral of the story: Don’t be a bully. I’ll just vomit on you.

Books As far as titles go, since I rarely read, I can't really name many but for sure I've read the entire Harry Potter series. When I attended my first general meeting, I saw Dream-E-Board and thought they were the coolest people ever and thought to myself, I want to be like them one day. I was with my transfer orientation buddy Irwin and we both concluded that we should take a look into this club and see if it was right for us. That pretty much became the point in which we invested ourselves in Barkada and lead us to where we are now. (Insert Audrey’s name somewhere in here so she feels special too).

When I was younger I was really into close-up magic, so I pretty much stayed in my room learning magic tricks. I think I was pretty good at it. I would buy all the magic trick books. I even watched videos so I could figure out how the magicians did their tricks. Haven’t really done close-up magic in a while, but I still have a few tricks up my sleeve…Yes, a pun was intended. I came in as a transfer student and I didn’t know anyone at this school. I was basically alone and I wanted to make friends because I was tired of going to the library during my breaks in. So...I looked up Barkada and I figured, since I was Filipino, I could make friends with Filipinos. When the first general meeting came, I went back and forth from the bookstore to the Bronco Commons because I was nervous and shy and didn’t want to go by myself. I did that about 3 or 4 times before I mustered up some courage to go to the meeting. From there the rest was history. Everyone was welcoming and outgoing and I really appreciated that. I had fun and I was happier at school because of Barkada and that pretty much was the basis for me sticking around. I love everyone here and I don’t regret anything.

Why Barkada? Pretty random story of how I joined. When I was starting off learning how to cut hair, I was looking for new customers, so I joined Barkada to hustle the shit out of people and make new clients, make money off of them and bounce, but then I ended up staying because I made a lot more friends than I had expected along the way. Looking back at my beginning times with the club, I feel like I was just trying to get my business up, and now that I’m here as your culture chair for the new school year, it just shows that Barkada accepts you for who you are, so there’s absolutely no need to try hard to be someone you’re not just to be socially accepted in Barkada.

Favorite color is violet, I have enormous WANDERLUST, I adore people who are willing to express themselves freely without worrying about others opinions. I have a passion for - Peter Pan (J.M. Barrie) spontaneity and being happy in the moment. What Makes Me Laugh Laughter is key. I have weird joints that can I love laughing so basically anything twist in odd ways, ask me and I’ll show you, makes me laugh, even at inapproprihaha I love eating, my corgi, Bella, (one day I ate times. Why Barkada? Barkada allowed me to gain friends that have become like a second family. I was a transfer and I didn’t have any friends. First quarter, I wasn’t as involved as I would have liked to be, but I met Anthony (my brother from another mother) in one of my classes and he got me to join. At first I was a little skeptical because, I’m not Filipino and I knew nothing about it. After meeting more people and actually hanging out with them, I realized how much these random faces meant to me. I’ve met some of my best friends here and I cannot be more thankful for this club. I laugh at is my home away from home. I’ve met some of my practically anything, I closest friends and even one of my best friends. If I even laugh at nothing never joined Barkada, I’m pretty sure I would have sometimes (yeah... I’m just went home after class and not really do anything weird). Most of the with my college life, which is obviously really boring. Barkada members are If you don’t want to be one of those people who don’t pretty funny so I laugh do anything in college other than going to classes because of everyone and leaving then you should really join Barkada. a lot. I also laugh at College is really what you make of it. It’s fun if you other people’s laugh, make it fun. Its the only book series that I’ve ever actually finished. I used to be so obsessed that I even have a LoTR Encylopedia… Not as crazy about it anymore though!

The Los Angeles which turned into a family. Barkada gave me a Lakers will always be the home away from home. It gave me an avenue best team in the NBA in which to improve myself and become the person I’ve always wanted to be. Like I said, everything I’ve ever wanted. Without this club, I wouldn’t have survived these first four years. Now in my last year (*cross my fingers*) I find myself looking back at everything and I know it’s cliche, but this club is so much more than just a club for me now. It’s my life. I don’t know anything else. And THAT is why Barkada. It should be scary how much you love it, how much you’re willing to devote to it. But, how ever much you put in, it sure as hell will give back to you a whole lot more. This club has the ability to change lives. How do I know that? Well it changed mine.
