This year, CPGE continued to advance its mission as the university’s hub for professional, adult, and global learning, expanding access, deepening industry alignment, and shaping new pathways for the learners we proudly serve.

In 2024–2025, CPGE generated $14,849,878 million in revenue between Foundation and Academic Programs and secured $1.85 million in philanthropic and external funding to support access, innovation, and workforce engagement. This includes a $1.35 million investment to establish the Workforce Innovation and Career Engagement (WICE) Office, as well as a $500,000 workforce training contract with the Southeast Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board (SELACO). These efforts not only strengthen our programs, expand our reach and impact, and deepen our institutional capabilities to meet emerging workforce needs, but they also help connect our students to real opportunities in a rapidly evolving job market.

She now leads Global Campus strategy and international operations, uniting GEI, Study Abroad, and ISSSO under a streamlined structure for global engagement.

With two decades of experience in international education, Arthur oversees ISSSO and Study Abroad, manages immigration compliance, and supports global mobility for international students and scholars.

Ashley brings nearly 10 years of CSU PaCE experience, combining program development with marketing strategy.

Her DEI lens and proven track record in collaborative program design make her a key addition to CPGE.

Dr. Ogiamien joins CPGE to lead the college’s strategic marketing, branding, and digital outreach efforts. He brings over 10 years of experience in higher ed marketing and holds a DBA in Marketing.

These programs blend academic rigor with market-driven relevance, preparing learners to lead in today’s global economy.

College of Engineering Jointly delivered with the College of Engineering, this interdisciplinary program is built for working professionals seeking to solve complex technical challenges with real-world systems thinking.

College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences In partnership with CLASS, CPGE delivers an online MPA program rooted in civic leadership, equity, and innovation in public service.

College of Environmental Design Co-led with the College of Environmental Design, this fully online program fuses design thinking with professional preparation, helping graduates shape spaces and experiences with purpose.

The Collins College of Hospitality Management CPGE partners with Collins College to offer a graduate program that prepares hospitality professionals to lead with innovation, strategy, and global insight.

College of Science In collaboration with the College of Science, CPGE provides access to a program that explores Earth’s dynamic systems and prepares students to solve real-world geoscience challenges.

Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture Together with the Huntley College of Agriculture, CPGE delivers a fully online program designed to advance health equity through nutrition, wellness, and culturally responsive care.

GLOBAL CAMPUS On June 17, 2025, Cal Poly Pomona’s Global Education Institute (GEI), in collaboration with four academic colleges and campus offices, hosted a 28-member delegation from the China Association for Non-Government Education (CANGE), including 13 presidents and 7 vice presidents from 18 Chinese higher education institutions. The visit featured a panel discussion and a welcome from Provost Gomez, emphasizing the strong potential for academic collaboration.

Representatives from the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles were also in attendance. The event highlighted CPP’s commitment to building global strategic partnerships, and participating institutions expressed strong interest in pursuing student recruitment, faculty exchange, and other academic partnerships with CPP.

FACULTY-LED STUDY ABROAD Faculty-Led Programs CPGE faculty led 71 students on transformative international programs across Italy, Japan, France, Germany, and South Korea. These experiences combined academic rigor with handson cultural immersion, giving students opportunities to collaborate with local communities, explore diverse perspectives, and apply classroom knowledge in real-world global contexts.

Aligned with Cal Poly Pomona’s strategic goals, these programs advance student success, foster inclusive excellence, and strengthen global engagement. By creating pathways for experiential learning beyond the classroom, CPGE equips students with the intercultural competence, problem-solving skills, and professional adaptability needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world by embodying the university’s “Learn by Doing” philosophy on a global stage.

STUDENTS SERVED/ SUMMER SESSION Students and Global Engagement CPGE served thousands across academic, professional, and global programs. Academic programs enrolled 490 students; non-degree programs, 456; Open University, 419. Summer term saw 7,688 self-support and 4,356 state-side enrollments.

Global reach expanded with 20 new MOUs under Global Strategic Partnership Building. ISSO and Study Abroad each served 707 students.

Semester@ CPP welcomed 35 students from 11 countries; CPELI hosted 60; SIELP, 66; customized programs, 75.

A Legacy of Dedication and Transformation at CPGE

HONORING TERRIE TAYLOR, MBA After 12.5 years of dedicated service, Terrie Taylor, MBA retired from the College of Professional and Global Education (CPGE), leaving a lasting impact on programs, systems, and student services. Known for her commitment to innovation and student success, Terrie led the launch of numerous academic and workforce development programs, both credit and non-credit, and played a pivotal role in organizing campus-wide Summer and Winter sessions to increase flexibility and access for students.

Terrie guided CPGE through major institutional changes, including the Semester Conversion process, and managed the Master of Interior Architecture program during its transition. She championed access for veteran students as a School Certifying Official, supported Migrant Education summer camps, and streamlined Open University enrollment by moving it online. Behind the scenes, she ensured compliance, led successful audits, and implemented key systems like Jenzabar, Destiny One, and OnBase to improve efficiency and security.

She also contributed to CPGE’s renaming, branding, and visioning efforts, including launching the CPGE Vision Map and modernizing public outreach through digital and traditional marketing campaigns. Her leadership extended to facility upgrades, strategic partnerships, and interdepartmental collaborations, all in service of CPGE’s mission to meet the needs of diverse learners.

A passionate advocate for student opportunity, Terrie established the CEU/CPGE Scholarship Fund to help students overcome financial barriers, especially in non-credit programs without traditional aid.

Surpassing the $50,000 endowment threshold, the fund will award its first scholarship in the coming year—a lasting testament to Terrie’s vision and dedication to empowering students.

In 2024–2025, CPGE generated over $1.33 million for partner colleges, with the College of Business Administration leading at $671,365 (50.37%) and Academic Affairs following at $266,232 (19.97%). Agriculture earned $147,553 (11.07%), Hospitality $72,368 (5.43%), Environmental Design $66,694 (5.0%), Engineering $63,872 (4.79%), and College of Science $40,264 (3.02%). The library received $4,634 (0.35%). These results highlight CPGE’s strong partnerships and commitment to advancing academic innovation and student success.
