CONNECTED THROUGH CARE!
Dear guests,
At a time when artificial intelligence is advancing rapidly and many stages of the travel experience are becoming automated, we at Coco-Mat Hotels choose to remind ourselves of something fundamental every single day: hospitality, at its core, remains an entirely human affair. Information may be delivered by machines, but warmth, empathy, and genuine connection cannot be programmed. They can only be offered.
In the world of tourism, this personal connection is what creates true value. It is the reason a guest feels at home – why they remember a story, a smile, or a simple act of care. No digital exprerience can replicate the authenticity of a human moment, and for that reason, it will become even more essential in the future.
Tomorrow’s travelers will seek experiences that blend the ease of technology with the authenticity of human presence. At this crossroads, the people of Coco-Mat Hotels have already chosen our path. We invest in our team, in personal service, and in cultivating meaningful interpersonal relationships, because we know that this connection is not merely a competitive advantage – it is the soul of our hospitality.
Ultimately, an unforgettable experience is not created only by beautiful spaces or technological conveniences, but by people who genuinely care. And that is the element that will continue to make traveling –and us – truly unique.

Kahlo
Frida Kahlo has a new "home" – the Museo Casa Kahlo, which has just opened in Mexico City, a few blocks from the legendary Casa Azul. Designed by David Rockwell, the new museum reveals a more intimate, family-oriented side of the iconic artist, beyond the "La Sufrida" myth. Among unpublished letters, jewelry, and her signature Schiaparelli perfume, visitors get to know Frida Kahlo as a woman, a daughter, and an artist deeply tied to Mexican folk tradition.

Η έκθεση «Giorgio Armani: Milano, per amore» φέρνει κομμάτια που είχαν παρουσιαστεί
Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan hosts its first exhibition dedicated to the creative journey of legendary Giorgio Armani, who passed away last September, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his fashion house. More than 120 garments highlight the evolution of his aesthetic and connect fashion with Italian art, from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. The exhibition "Giorgio Armani: Milano, per amore" features items previously exhibited in major international museums, as well as new creations, displayed alongside famous Italian masterpieces by artists such as Raphael and Caravaggio. Duration: Until January 11, 2026.
Greta Lee was one of the first names announced as global ambassador for the house of Dior since Jonathan Anderson took the helm. At 42, the actress uniquely combines her artistic path with style, bringing effortless glamour to every appearance. From satin bow mini dresses to structured suits, Greta Lee moves comfortably between femininity and modern determination. Her close collaboration with Jonathan Anderson (from when he was artistic director at Loewe) and stylist Danielle Goldberg has established her as a rising fashion it-girl and style icon.
GIORGIO ARMANI: MILANO, PER AMORE
One of the standout appearances at the recent fashion month was 25-year-old Awar Odhiang, who closed the show at Matthieu Blazy’s debut runway for Chanel, with a disarming smile, wearing a skirt made of colorful feathers. For the record, it’s worth mentioning that she is the fourth-ever model to close a Chanel show in the house’s history. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Canada, she was a 17-year old store employee folding clothes when an agent approached her and asked if she wanted to be a model. Today, she is one of the most sought-after faces in the fashion industry, with collaborations such as Bottega Veneta, Schiaparelli, and Victoria’s Secret, and campaigns for Saint Laurent and Alaïa. The best is yet to come!

LOUIS
VUITTON
TAKASHI MURAKAMI
Louis Vuitton reunites with Takashi Murakami, 20 years after their first iconic collaboration. The new Artycapucines VII collection was presented at Art Basel Paris, transforming the classic Capucines bags into small works of art. Murakami combines elements from his colorful, playful worldsmiling flowers, mushrooms, and strange animals - with luxurious materials such as gold leaves, resin, and thousands of rhinestones. From the psychedelic Mini Mushroom to the Capucines Mini Tentacle, each bag requires countless hours of manual work. This collaboration demonstrates that fashion and art can be integrated, being a celebration of creativity and imagination.
Jacob Elordi has transformed from the teen heartthrob of "The Kissing Booth" into one of the most gripping actors of his generation, with a significant evolution in both his acting and his personal style. From his success in the TV series "Euphoria" to his iconic performance in Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein" in Venice, Jacob Elordi proves his versatility in various film genres. His style is also distinctive; he doesn't hesitate to combine masculine and feminine items, even carrying women's bags if he feels they complement his look - he loves Bottega Veneta bags. He is influenced by personalities like Harry Styles, A$AP Rocky, and Tyler, the Creator, while he adores stylistic details that make a difference, such as layering, oversized suits, and statement accessories.

DAKOTA JOHNSON GORGEOUS IN EVERY WAY
MINA AFENTOULI
WRITTEN
BY
Being disarmingly authentic, Dakota Johnson often finds herself in the spotlight – for her role in the film adaptation of the bestselling erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey", her relationship with Coldplay front man Chris Martin, and her stylistic choices on the red carpet.
Her shapely figure, as well as the fact that she "isn't ashamed" –as she herself has stated – form the basis for her recent bold red carpet looks. The completely unpretentious Dakota said in a sarcastic tone: "It's not like nobody here hasn’t already seen my boobs" when the top of her dress came loose at the 2016 People's Choice Awards and risked revealing her bust.
She is a see-through material girl, and more often than not, these are Gucci outfits – as she has been a Gucci ambassador since 2017. However, the beautiful star has also gone viral for her effortless cool street looks.
“The secret is I have no shame.”
Dakota
Tippi Hedren.
Dakota Mayi Johnson is an American actress and model, born in 1989 in Austin, Texas. She comes from a family with a long history in Hollywood: daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith and granddaughter of legendary actress Tippi Hedren.
She grew up with Antonio Banderas as her stepfather, whom she affectionately called “Paponio” - combining the word “papa,” which means “dad” in Spanish, with the actor’s name. She was always surrounded by artistic creativity and spent much of her childhood on film sets. In 1999, before even finishing school, she made her debut in the film "Crazy in Alabama", in which she co-starred alongside her mother.
Her breakthrough came with her appearance in David Fincher's Oscarwinning drama "The Social Network" (2010). She was honored as Miss Golden Globe in 2006, following in her mother's footsteps. She became the first second-generation child to hold this title. She became widely known in 2015 for her role as Anastasia Steele in the film "Fifty Shades of Grey" and its two sequels. Despite the role being controversial, she earned widespread acclaim, including a People's Choice Award and a BAFTA Rising Star nomination.
"I love clothes so much. I feel like whatever I wear is an insight for other people to get to see who I am, or for me to portray how I'm feeling."
After Fifty Shades, Johnson demonstrated her versatility as an actress by taking on more challenging roles in both independent and major productions.
Coldplay, Chris Martin.
With regard to her personal life, her relationship with Coldplay front man Chris Martin stands out. However, they’ve gone their separate ways after 8 years together in June 2025.
Her public image is marked by a relaxed, cool, and subversive style, which has established her as one of the most interesting and versatile talents of her generation in Hollywood.
TOP TRENDS WINTER REIMAGINED
KORONAKOU
WRITTEN BY MANTO
This year's winter trends combine elegance and comfort, with strong references to natural textures and dynamic outfits.
THE DOMINANT BROWN SHADE
Brown has once again dominated the fall runways. Fall/Winter fashion shows were all about rich, warm shades of brown, such as caramel and espresso. Designers delved into the entire spectrum of this autumnal tone in accessories, elegant suits, and overcoats.
THE NOMADIC ESCAPE
Flowing silhouettes, maxi skirts, knits, embroidered overcoats, and airy shirts, paired with flat shoes, wide belts, and layered pendants, are this winter's definition of boho chic, creating effortlessly comfortable yet refined looks.
THE LINGER IE REVOLUTION
Lingerie-inspired outfits that stood out in casual street style and celebrity looks in the summer, regain momentum this winter. Silk and lace "embrace" richer textures like leather and cashmere, exuding a romantic yet contemporary vibe. From lace dresses to slip skirts over denim or mix & match with oversized jackets, this look balances femininity and comfort.
LACE REVIVAL
Gucci, Fendi, Chloé, Carolina Herrera
Rabanne
Lace, both in vibrant colors and neutral tones, was one of the dominant trends on the runways. Saint Laurent stood out with a bold color palette and elegant silhouettes, while houses like Gucci, Fendi, Chloé, Carolina Herrera, and Rabanne presented their own versions, from lace tops to boho dresses and sparkling details.
RUSTIC ELEGANCE
The English country style is making a strong comeback, not as a nostalgic feeling but as a way of life. Durable fabrics, functional pieces, and timeless textures become dominant in the modern wardrobe. Trench coats, plaid coats, waterproof boots, and traditional Fair Isle knitwear harmoniously pair with silk scarves and leather accessories, creating looks with a folklore aesthetic.
BARELY THERE... SLOUCHY BAGS
Fashion in 2025 brings back "naked" dressing, only this time, the transparency effect is reimagined in more modern, wearable looks. Houses like Nina Ricci, Carolina Herrera, and MM6 Maison Margiela presented sheer shirts and airy fabrics combined with sharp tailoring on the runway, while the "light" and "ethereal" look prevailed, with designs that revealed the body without being overly daring. Slouchy bags are the ultimate trend this season. Inspired by 2000s fashion, designers present soft, leather and suede clutches, totes, and shoulder bags, worn casually, either folded in hand or worn over the shoulder. Houses like Acne, Fendi, and Stella McCartney favor the clutch, while Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, and Tory Burch reimagine classic tote bags by introducing a more casual look.

INTERVIEWED
BY
MAKE DREAMS, COME TRUE!
Yolanda Kalogeropoulou never goes unnoticed. She has a subtle appeal, a calm yet strong presence that makes you want to get to know her. Naturally beautiful, genuine, and passionate about everything she loves, she’s not afraid to take risks, try new things, and start over when necessary.
Mother to a wonderful daughter and lead actress in ANT1's popular series "Grand Hotel", Yolanda combines family warmth with her active presence in the public eye. Authentic and full of joy, she lives each moment passionately, leaving room for creativity, companionship, and affection.
Second season of "Grand Hotel". What can we expect from the TV series and the character you portray, Eleni, this year? How are you experiencing the new TV season?
We’re having a great time this year because we already know each other well as a team, we’ve bonded, and we’re going strong. I can say that we have developed an efficient workflow, and our characters have developed as well. I somehow feel like everything "flows" on its own. As soon as I arrive on set and put on Eleni’s clothes, I immediately become Eleni. This TV series is one of the best productions we have in Greece and definitely one of the best I have worked on.
To what extent has the success of "Grand Hotel" contributed to your career?
When it comes to my child, I'm trying to find the balance between great responsibility and all that the word "mom" carries. I think it's the most beautiful word I've ever heard in my life. I wasn't aware that when I called my mother – I still call her mom – this word encompassed so much love. That's how I raise him, but I also need to nurture a feeling of security, have in mind the responsibility I have as a mother, the fears and insecurities that I've never had before and now burst out of nowhere... Everything is a struggle to find inner balance.
Do you have anything in common with Eleni, the character you portray in the series?
The truth is I have quite a lot in common with Eleni. Not so much in the way she reacts, rather in the way she thinks and fights for her life. She is a woman with a strong survival instinct; deep inside her mind, she knows that "no matter what, she’ll make it". And even if she makes mistakes, even if she "hits rock bottom" with her choices, she never gives up. She gets up, picks up her pieces, puts them back together, and tries again. We’re very similar in this respect.
I don’t give up easily either. I am quite persistent; my inner voice tells me "I’ll try and I’ll succeed". It may not always lead to success, but there’s continuous effort. So, this "never gives up" attitude is something we have in common. Of course, Eleni’s character is not that of the typical "good girl" who tries to do the right thing and is vindicated in the end. The way she handles things and the choices she makes lead her to failure. She tries to come around using the wrong means, and that’s why her efforts bear no fruit.
Have you experienced any kind of breakdown, like the heroine in the series?
I have indeed; only, in my case, due to external factors. My character, Eleni, causes her own problems. I, on the other hand, found myself in situations that "broke" me for reasons beyond my control; I had to pick up the pieces and move on.
One of those moments was when I found myself alone in London. It wasn’t a planned decision, like "I’m leaving to start a new life". I had gone on a trip and eventually decided to stay for a few months. At the time, I literally felt like I was in the middle of nowhere; no friends, family, country, sun, language... nothing.
I was very close to giving up and coming back. But I didn’t, and I stayed in London for nine years. I struggled, I faced challenges, personal and financial, but I made it; I survived, I created, I started my own business. Little by little, I created something, which at first seemed impossible.
Your first job in television was in "Tamam". How is it different, now that you’re part of "Grand Hotel"?
Back then, I had a minor role in "Tamam". I was still a child who didn’t exactly know what she wanted. Today, I’m completely different, both professionally and personally.
Between then and now, there were moments when I had doubts about the world of acting and wondered if it was the right path for me. I thought about this more when I was in England, where I was working and studying at the same time.
→ Lingerie, HARMONY HOMEWEAR. Pants and cardigan, VERITE ATHENS. Sneakers, SHOEBOX ATHENS. Necklace and rings, K.AND.
I was very much involved in the F&B industry, having started my own business, and my time was very limited. Then came the pregnancy, and a period during which I distanced myself from the field. This period, away from acting, was not the happiest I’d ever been, so I chose to return.
Along with my little daughter, I attended classes, had meetings with agents in London, and participated in castings in Athens as well. That was when "Erotas Fygas" came up. I returned to Greece and initially my time was shared between Athens and London.
Then came "Grand Hotel" and so, I settled in Greece. I don’t rule anything out, though. England remains a second home to me, and I stay open to any future opportunities.
Has motherhood changed your priorities? Has it affected your life and work?
To be honest, I didn’t grow up dreaming about being a mother. But when the child arrived, it was a revelation – deep, meaningful, and
intensely personal. Even though it wasn’t planned, I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. It’s without a doubt the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced. I have lots of dreams for this little creature – like all parents, I want to see her grow up, evolve, and find her own path.
How do you manage to balance career, family, and personal time?
Balance is not a given. It will always lean a little to one side or the other, depending on the needs. For example, if I feel that my daughter is going through a period of change, like now, with her new school, I will dedicate as much time as she needs. Similarly, when I feel that I need to focus more on my work, I will do exactly that. I don’t think there’s ever a moment when I can say, "Now everything is in balance. I have exactly the right amount of time for my child, my partner, my work". The truth is, I often feel like I’m running, trying to tie up loose ends. And because my work schedule is unpredictable, this also affects my child’s routine, which sometimes brings about a natural confusion, but there’s also a constant effort to adapt.
YOLANDA KALOGEROPOULOU
What was your childhood dream? Was acting always your main target?
I was almost ten when I realized that creating -in any way, whatsoeverbrings me incredible joy and energy. Since then, I started looking for things that make me feel alive and creative. That’s how I discovered acting. I could say it was a childhood dream, which began to take on a more conscious form in adolescence.
Today, I feel lucky because I’m living that dream. I have a job I love, a job that fulfills me and gives me a reason to wake up every morning. My dream has now evolved. I want love around me, meaningful relationships, something that, unfortunately, is becoming increasingly rare and difficult. And of course, travel.
I was eighteen when I started traveling alone, and I realized how fulfilling it was. I’ve traveled a lot, but this desire never fades. There’s always one more place to discover, one more experience to live.
You love traveling and know how to appreciate a hospitality experience. How was your stay at COCO-MAT Hotels? What impressed you or made you feel special?
I loved the fact that we were in the city center and could hear its sounds. Yet, inside the hotel, you feel like you’re not in the city, but in nature. Elements such as the flowing water in the restaurant, the turtles in the gym, the wood, the plants, and the greenery around us, created a sense of tranquility. So, the contrast between feeling like you’re in nature while being in the heart of the city was unique and made our stay even more special.

THE SOFT GLOW EDIT
WRITTEN BY EVAGGELIA PAPAPASCHALI
In an era where beauty is more connected to wellness than ever, the new generation of beauty rituals embraces more natural, "slow beauty" methods. From heatless curls to dry brushing, these are the little secrets that offer freshness and glow without exaggeration.
Heatless curls are quite rightly TikTok’s most guilt-free beauty trend. A simple satin ribbon or a bathrobe belt will help you create waves without damaging your hair. The trick is to let them dry naturally and "unwrap" them in the morning: effortless, glossy waves that will mimic the result of a summer breeze.
The minimalist trend in nails is making a strong comeback. Naked nails, well-manicured, natural, with a subtle shine, exude purity and elegance. The focus shifts to nail health, proper hydration, and natural care products.
Think of it as facial workout. Face yoga strengthens the muscles we often neglect, and helps tighten and relax expression lines. A few minutes a day in front of the mirror is enough to nourish your skin and provide a
FACE MASSAGE
natural lift without surgery.
The face massage is more than just a relaxing ritual; it’s a daily investment in skin glow. Using a gua sha stone or your fingers can help with lymphatic drainage and stimulate circulation, giving the face a natural lift. Relaxation, smooth skin, and a glowing complexion in no time!
Dry brushing is the simplest way to awaken your body. Using a natural brush and gentle circular motions, you improve circulation, remove dead cells, and stimulate lymphatic flow. The result? Smoother skin, radiant complexion, and a sense of rejuvenation for both the body and the mind. Try it before your evening bath.

What is the daily life of an actor like in Greece, and what does it truly mean to create in a time of stress and uncertainty? Stavros Svigkos talks about the essence of acting, the insecurity in the art world, and fatherhood, which humbled his "ego".
THE ART OF TRUTH
"Porto Leone" has intense atmosphere and social background. What attracted you most to this project?
In addition to the plot, the team behind the cameras is the one I’ve been working with for the past four years; we’ve become like family. When you work with people you know well, there’s a communication code, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Nowadays, the work environment truly matters in my line of work. I was offered various roles, but I chose this one because it’s interesting to play a character that seems one way on the outside but actually hides a different inner reality. But this will all be revealed in due course
What attracts you most to the small screen and what to the stage?
These are two vastly different paths in acting, almost like different professions. Immediacy in television is what attracts me the most. I have to act quickly, intuitively. It’s a concentration and response exercise that keeps me alert. In theater, there is romance: two months of rehearsals, a well prepared truth, deeper emotions. When it’s time to perform on stage, all this comes out naturally and instinctively.
Is there a role that you feel has "changed" you?
Personally, I feel that my work is a source of education. I step into other people’s shoes and mindsets, and this is like personal psychotherapy. Even a dark role can make me a better person because I understand aspects of human behavior that I would otherwise never encounter. Roles don’t carry subconscious burdens, rather conscious lessons.
And how do you "de-role"?
Simply put, you need to know where your personal life begins and the life of the role ends. I might leave the theater emotionally charged, but I won’t let it affect my mentality. I think it’s only right to leave the role behind when you close the dressing room door. Of course, while rehearsing or performing, I may think of something in my sleep and get up to write it down. But that doesn’t interfere with my personal life. I am me; the roles are the roles.

In Greece, your art is often associated with insecurity and uncertainty. How do you cope with periods when things don’t work out as planned?
It’s not just an issue in our field; we live in a country of widespread insecurity. Sky-high taxes, no welfare, insufficient education and healthcare. All sectors are affected. Our work has periods of six months with little or no work. That’s why I believe you should "hold a small basket": be humble, live a good life, without huge risks. After all, in the end, it’s not the house or the car that matters; it’s the memories you create with your loved ones.
Recently, there has been a discussion regarding actors hosting TV shows. What’s your opinion?
I wonder why this issue is only raised for actors. Why is it that models or singers can transition to acting, but an actor cannot host a show? If someone is qualified and a producer wants them, I see no reason to judge. I have stopped judging other people’s lives.
If you could change one thing in your field, what would it be and what would you want to remain constant?
I’d like the romance to remain intact, and I’d like artists to be protected for a change – mainly regarding the financial aspect. Making a living has become so stressful that many artists have become mere performers. There needs to be an environment that allows artists to be temporarily unemployed without facing financial instability. Only then can they truly create.
← Total outfit, NAVY AND GREEN. Eyeglasses, LODA.
This year, you’ve taken some time away from the theater to spend time with your son. What do you like to do together?
I was at the theater every Wednesday to Sunday night. This year, being at home, I put him to sleep myself, and that alone is a huge change. We enjoy nature on weekends. We also love horses and often spend time with them. There are times, we simply stay home and play. It’s wonderful to create our own little world. I believe that this creative time fosters education– it doesn’t just start or end at school.
In general, has fatherhood changed your perspective on life?
Absolutely. Priorities change, and you feel responsible for another human being. You come to terms with your "ego" – you reframe it. You learn what unconditional love means. Children don’t have to respond the way you want, just because you’ve changed your life for them. Relationships are not transactional; you give and take what the other can give. That was a great lesson!
And what if your son told you that he wants to be an actor, what would you say to him?
I’d say, "That's your problem!" (laughs). He’s only seven and a half years old, and I don't want to influence him. I want him to find out what makes him happy. If that makes him feel he’s contributing and he’s enjoying himself, then he should definitely do it. The choice is his to make.

My position at COCO-MAT Athens BC is that of first cook, covering the hotel's breakfast and, later, brunch service. Breakfast, in addition to being the most important meal of the day, is also a daily challenge for all of us who prepare it for our customers. We set goals every day as a team, with our common objective being to provide exceptional service to our guests and to promote our culinary philosophy through the wide range of homemade goods we serve, while also striving for almost zero food waste – a hallowed goal that is reverently observed.
My experience has proven that the hotel and its management allow each of us the space and time to learn and develop in our field of work. This, in itself, is special. It offers us the confidence that there is trust and support in our effort to become the best versions of our professional selves.
The authentic hospitality we offer is definitely the result of a team effort, both in the kitchen and by all the employees in the hotel’s F&B department as a whole. The idea and feeling that I belong to this team and that I collaborate every day with people who pay attention to detail with such an elevated sense of responsibility, fills me only with pride and joy.
My favorite place inside the hotel is the kitchen of our restaurant. Due to the nature of our work, we experience good times but also moments of tension every day. But there is a moment in the day that I experience every time as my first day at the hotel: preparing food for the hotel staff. The feeling of providing for people who work alongside you is unmatched and unforgettable.
For the future, I wish that our hard work and the goals we set and achieve every year will open new horizons for COCO-MAT Athens BC, earning for the hotel the recognition it deserves as a model of authentic hospitality for our customers and as a model working environment for all of us.

I have been working at COCO-MAT Athens Jumelle for the last six years, in the position of Porter. Every day my duties involve welcoming and providing services to guests, transporting their luggage, as well as facilitating any needs that may arise during their stay. At the same time, I make sure that the lobby area, which is my main area of work, is always neat, welcoming and in keeping with the COCO-MAT philosophy.
My experience at COCO-MAT Athens Jumelle is valuable and inspiring to me. The hotel stands out for its philosophy of natural harmony and wellness, the use of natural materials and respect for people and the environment. What I consider most important, however, is the sense of intimacy and sincere hospitality that we offer to each guest, which makes their experience truly unique.
The work atmosphere is extremely positive and human-centric. There is respect, mutual support and team spirit, elements that make our daily lives pleasant and productive. I feel proud to be part of the COCO-MAT Athens Jumelle team and to have the opportunity to contribute to an environment that fosters collaboration and continuous development.
My favorite place in the hotel is the lobby. It is the beating heart of COCO-MAT Athens Jumelle –the first point of contact with arriving guests and the last before their departure. Every day at the lobby is different, full of tender moments, smiles and stories that remain in memory.
I distinctly remember a guest who, upon leaving, expressed his deep gratitude for the care and warmth he felt during his stay. It was a moment that reminded me why I love this job – because hospitality, when it is authentic, really touches people.
My wish for COCO-MAT Athens Jumelle is that it will continue to evolve with the same respect for people and nature, always maintaining the high quality and warmth that characterize it. I also hope that it will continue to be a place where both guests and employees feel part of something special.

COOK @ COCO-MAT HOTEL ATHENS
My position at COCO-MAT Hotel Athens is in the kitchen, at the savory and sweet breakfast station. Every day, I make sure that every guest will find pies, sweets and savory goods made with pure ingredients. Our goal is to showcase the Mediterranean cuisine and the Mediterranean breakfast. I think for the most part we are successful, although there is always room for improvement. Cooking is a journey that never stops; it continuously evolves.
My work experience is extremely positive and creative. COCO-MAT Hotel Athens stands out for its hospitality. We are always mindful of how to make our guests feel like they are in their home away from home. The atmosphere is positive and the design of the hotel, with wood elements in many places, exudes love and respect for nature, through the use of environmentally friendly materials. The working atmosphere is warm and every employee is treated with respect, which contributes to the smooth cooperation among all departments.
I feel very happy to be a part of this team. I believe that there is understanding between all departments and that all employees contribute to the smooth operation of the hotel from the position assigned to them. So, work feels like our second home. The best moments for me are when I receive a smile from a guest who has tried one of our dishes. That is the biggest reward. It shows me that our kitchen is doing a good job, and it gives me strength and courage to keep going.
My favorite part of the hotel is the rooftop, with the incredible view of the Acropolis – especially in the early hours of the morning, when it is absolutely quiet. It is my favorite moment of the day and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
I wish for COCO-MAT Hotel Athens to continue on its great path, to evolve and maintain the high level of hospitality both towards its guests and to the people who work here. To offer positive experiences to all those who visit it, so that they can take with them a beautiful piece of Greece – both from our cooking and our hospitality.

WHEN THE VOLCANO SLEEPS...
WRITTEN BY MANTO KORONAKOU
Have you ever wondered what Santorini looks like when the intense rhythms of the summer season are fading and its alleys are empty after the crowds of visitors are gone? The sounds fall silent, the sea calms down, the sky becomes more dramatic, and the island reveals its authentic soul.
IN THE CAVE OF TIME
You might at first think that in Santorini you don’t get to experience much in wintertime. However, there are so many hidden beauties on the island that you will quickly realize a few days are not enough to discover them all. Start with a visit to Kontochori, where the Folklore Museum is housed in a cave house dating back to 1861. The museum preserves local tradition and folk culture with respect, while giving you the opportunity to get acquainted with jobs that have become obsolete over time. At the same time, the museum's collection of lithographs, manuscripts, and old books is of particular interest.
AKROTIRI: THE TREASURE OF PREHISTORIC SANTORINI
Wander around Akrotiri in Santorini and travel back in time. Akrotiri was an advanced settlement of the Bronze Age, with an organized society, multi-storey buildings, and streets. It was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in the 17th century BC, yet the volcanic material preserved the buildings, objects, and frescoes intact. The finds revealed the wealth, expertise, and trade relations of the settlement with Crete, Cyprus, and other areas of the Aegean.
A JOURNEY THROUGH ART AND TASTE IN EXO GONIA
Art holds a special place in Santorini, with numerous galleries, workshops, and studios waiting to be discovered. In Exo Gonia in Santorini, a magnificent art space carved into old volcanic rock awaits you: the unique Art Space Winery Museum Art Gallery. Explore representative works of contemporary Greek painting and sculpture, experience the course of Greek artistic creation first-hand, and let yourself be charmed by the history of a winery operating since 1861. Be sure to taste the exquisite wines of the modern winery, which combine tradition and quality. A journey through the senses awaits you!
MEGALOCHORI: THE CAPTIVATING SANTORINIAN VILLAGE
Megalochori in Santorini is a picturesque village full of life, traditional charm, and friendly people. Wander through its cobblestone streets, admire neoclassical mansions, old caves, and impressive churches, and relax in cafés and taverns serving local dishes in the central square. The village is known for its top wineries, where you can taste unique volcanic wines while gazing at the stunning view of the caldera, the valleys with the vineyards, and the beaches, making it the perfect destination for a well-rounded Santorini experience.
