Welcome to our 10th Annual Western Angus Bull Sale!
Hard to believe it's our 10th anniversary sale. We appreciate all of those who have purchased bulls in the past and are grateful for your business, without your support we couldn't have a sale. For anyone still in the cattle business, we can honestly say that the economic outlook has never been better in our industry. We've never seen 500 lb calves bring $2.00 lb and constantly fats are reaching all time highs. With high prices in feeder cattle we should see the growth in the national cow herd slowed, which will in turn extend the current market cycle. That along with Barley in the $3 range is allowing everyone to make money right now in the industry. Don't be surprised if record prices continue to be set. Our bull offering is deep with high performance, low birth weight bulls to accommodate either heifer programs or cow herd. We've had a lot of emphasis on carcass in the past, your calves should grade in the top of the industry. The strength of our cow herd is the cow's themselves, if you are keeping replacement heifers any of these bulls should work as far as the genetic potential.
We look forward to seeing you sale day if not sooner if you have the time. We have found that this industry is as much about the people you meet along the way as it is the cattle. CATTLE INSPECTION: All bulls carry permanent identity tags, corresponding to Sale Lot Numbers. All shall be available for inspection prior to sale.
ALL CATTLE ARE SOLD: Subject to such tests as required for export under regulations of the Health of Animals Branch, Department of Agriculture for Canada - those corresponding to Bureau of Animal Industry requirements.
BREEDING GUARANTEE: All cattle are sound and right and sell as outlined by the “Responsible Breeders” policy. Any problems or concerns need to be sent in within 6 months to us for consideration. No bull will be refunded for more than actual purchase price and no animal subject to mistreatment or injury will be refunded. In the event of any unlikely dispute, the regular terms and conditions, standard with the Canadian Aberdeen Angus Association shall apply.
INSURANCE: Ownership risk to purchaser commences when the Auctioneer’s hammer falls Livestock coverage will be available at the clerk’s desk from the appointed representatives on Sale Day, or from the sale management at any time.
TERMS OF SALE: Are cash or cheque at par, payable to Clerks of the Sale on Sale Day. U.S. Funds will be accepted at the current rate of exchange. No release will be given until satisfactory settlement has been made. We reserve the right to withhold animals from export shipment for whom payments have not been received prior to departure times.
ALL PERSONS who attend the Sale do so at their own risk and the Owners and Sale Staff assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for property loss or for any accidents that may occur. DISPUTES: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties
involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected by announcements from the auction stand at sale time and such corrections will take precedence over the printed material in the catalogue.
REGISTRATION: A certificate of Registry or Recordation, where applicable, duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after settlement has been made.
ACCIDENTS: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of the buyers, PERLICH BROS. AUCTION MARKET LTD. assume no responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of an accident or loss of property.
