F

all is finally here and the crisp cool temperatures are getting me ready for the upcoming holidays! The summer seemed to fly by. A few my favorite parts of fall is to seeing the leaves turn, fall baking and decorating.

We are excited for a classic movie remake that will hit the big screen September 23rd! “The Magnificent Seven,” rides again! Remade from a 1960 classic starring Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen. The new version will star Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt. We were able to feature a behind the scenes spotlight in this month’s issue of Cowgirls In Style.

We’re “Riding Arizona” in this issue. We have dedicated a spot to get you in the mood for some fall riding with western hospitality. One of our favorite hat companies is also featured in this issue, “Rough and Rowdy Designs.” We have ordered many of these Swarovski crystals caps. “Merle was an integral part of the Academy’s history, and it was important to us that we honor his legacy. We couldn’t imagine anyone better suited to receive the first ever ACM Merle Haggard Spirit Award than Miranda,” said ACM EVP/Managing Director Tiffany Moon.

The remake of the 1960 classic, starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt comes to Theatres September 23.

rom the 1960 remake, director Antoine Fuqua brings his modern vision to a classic story in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ and Columbia Pictures’ The Magnificent Seven. With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns –

Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.

It’s been a 56 year wait for western classic enthusiasts, but it has finally come. 1960 was the year and four of the biggest stars, Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and Robert Vaughn were part of the lineup for the classic movie, “The Magnificent Seven.” As we dug a little deeper for this article, we found some interesting information courtesy of Turner Classic Movies, www.tcm.com. Written by Frank Miller.

The locals formed a close attachment to Wallach, teaching him to shoot, ride and snarl convincingly. They also served as unofficial bodyguards for the actor and his wife, actress Anne Jackson, during the location shoot.

Although the film received only mixed reviews, Sturges got a rave from the one source that really mattered to him. After seeing the picture, Kurosawa was so impressed, he sent the American director a ceremonial sword as a gift.

She purchased the crystal department from the business Cowgirl Swank. “I picked the name Rough & Rowdy Designs for the reason of my caps are durable and can be woren all day long and have some abuse (Rough) and some of the designs are totally unique (Rowdy). The logo of Rough & Rowdy Designs came from me being a big horse lover and country gal.
