Contest Begins: Check-in 5:30 p.m., Contest 6 p.m.

GENERAL RULES: 1. Contestants must be between 6 and 12 months and not yet walking. If a contestant walks at any time during the race, he/she will be disqualified.

2. Two people will be allowed on the racetrack, one at the start line and one at the finish line.

3. Contestants cannot be touched once the race begins.

4. Contestants may be encouraged to crawl the 10’ length of the race track by using toys, blankets, pacifiers, etc.

5. Hands and feet must cross over the finish line to be declared a winner.

6. If there not a clear winner at the end of three (3) minutes, the baby closest to the finish line will be declared the winner.

7. PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED FOR FIRST, SECOND & THIRD PLACES. 8. All contestants will receive a participation ribbon.

Beauty Competition: All contestants will compete in their best pageant formal or Sunday best for the beauty competition. Contestants will compete in a group line up then in an individual competition on stage in their ages division below. One winner per age division will receive the title of Miss Coweta Fair. Queens will receive a custom embroidered title sash, crown and custom award.

Family Photo Booth Contest Preregister by Friday, September 9

GENERAL RULES: 1. This is a family competition , limit 4 members; at least one must be a youth under the age of 18.

2. Some preparations may be done prior to the contest (painting, cuts that require precise measurement, etc), but the backdrop must be assembled on site.

3. Pre-made kits are strictly prohibited. Back drop must be the original creation of the participating family.

4. Back drops must remain on the fairgrounds after contest and accessible to the public. Decorations should be weather-resistant.

The Fair is not responsible for loss or damage to any items used in display.

5. Participating families are responsible for supplying all decorations to be used in the back drop.

6. Dried, non-perishable ag products such as gourds, dried corn, peanuts, etc. … should be used. Fleshy products that may spoil should not be used.

7. Electricity will not be available. Nothing may be permanently fixed to the site.

8. All entries will be on display during the remainder of the fair. All decorating materials must be picked up after the fair on Sunday, September 25th between 2 and 5 p.m. Any materials remaining after that time will be discarded. Any entries removed before the designated time will forfeit any premiums awarded.

9. Entries will be judged on creativity and originality (20 points), use of plant materials (20 points), degree of difficulty (20 points), observation of rules (20 points), and overall appearance (20 points).

10. Contest is limited to a maximum of twenty (20) entries. Entries are first come, first served and application must be received by September 9, 2022.

11. Time limit for contest will be 1 hour.

Youth Creative Birthday Cake Decorating Preregister by Friday, September 9

Lumberjack & Lumberjill Competition

GENERAL RULES: 1. This contest is open only to children in grades K through 12th.

2. Pre-registration is due at the Coweta County Extension office by Friday, September 9, 2022.

3. Contestants will design a baked cake based on the following: a) Cakes do not have to be baked from scratch. Using a box mix is allowed, but the cake must be baked by the contestant, not store bought. Pre-made kits and decorations are strictly prohibited. b) Cakes can be any shape (round or square), but cannot be any larger than a 9” x 13” baking pan size. No more than two layers will be allowed (for practical reasons!) c) The judges will judge the appearance and decoration of the cake. d) Contestants must bring bare cake, already baked, and all the supplies needed to decorate.

GENERAL RULES: 1. This contest is open to adults only (16+ years) and includes a women’s division.

2. Competitors are required to sign a harmless agreement prior to

Saturday, September 24 Pavilion behind Exhibit Hall Begins 6 p.m.

WHO CAN ENTER: The contest is open to any individual 10 years or older who is a resident of Coweta County with the following exceptions: YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO ENTER IF: • You are a food service business - restaurant, caterer, grocer, food distributer, etc.

• You are a food professional, such as a chef, or if you prepare food on a professional basis.

• You are an employee of any national or state beef industry organization or their agents.

GENERAL RULES: 1. Steaks will be provided by the Coweta County Cattleman’s Association.

2. Preparation time starts at 6 p.m. Marinating/seasoning must be complete by 6:20 p.m. and entry must be on the grill by 6:30 p.m. and must be ready for judging at 7 p.m.

3. All entries are to be grilled on gas or charcoal grills for the competition. * Contestant must provide his or her own grill.

4. All dishes must be original and owned exclusively by the contestant.

5. Competitors must check in with the coordinator upon arrival.

You will be assigned a Competitor Number and provided a form for writing down your recipe or other comments about your entry.

6. Judging will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

Pumpkins will be judged in groups as follows: H K5 - 1st grade H 2nd -4th grade H 5th - 7th grade H 8th –12th grade

GENERAL RULES: 1. This contest is open to any youth grades K through 12th.

2. Pre-registration is required and due at the Coweta County Extension office by Friday, September 9, 2022.

Only 10 entries per age group will be accepted.

3. Pumpkins will be provided by Newnan Kiwanis Club, Inc. 4. All decorating must be done by the competitor unassisted by adult or older sibling and during the allotted time.

5. Contestants can decorate with paint or other supplies.

All paint and supplies must be brought by the contestant.

6. No carving or altering of the pumpkin.

7. Use of purchased or pre-made decorating kits is prohibited.

8. Electricity will not be available.

9. Pumpkins will be on display after the contest and accessible to the public. The Fair is not responsible for loss or damage to any items used in display.

10. Decorated pumpkins must be picked up after the fair on Sunday, September 25th between 2 and 6 p.m. Any materials remaining after that time will be discarded.

11. Decorating time limit will be 45 minutes.

12. Judging will take place immediately following competition.

13. Entries will be judged on creativity and originality (20 points), use of materials (20 points), degree of difficulty (20 points), observation of rules (20 points), and overall appearance (20 points).

Agriculture Specialty Awards:

Eligible pieces will be pulled to the side by department judges for a separate judging process. All qualifying pieces will be considered, there is no need to specifically enter this category.

Must exhibit an agricultural component (as determined by department judges).

Art Dept., Essence of Agriculture Award … $15.

Booths must be ready for judging by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13th.

Must exhibit a youth experiencing agriculture (as determined by department judges. Examples could include handling animals, picking produce, using a Georgia grown product, etc).

1. Premiums will be paid out to the 1st - 3rd Place Division winners. * It is possible for an exhibitor to win more than one award within a Division.

2. 1st – 3rd Place winners in each Class will be awarded ribbons only.

3. Adult premiums per Division are: 1st … $25; 2nd … $15; 3rd … $10.

4. Youth premiums per Division are: 1st … $15; 2nd … $10; 3rd … $5. *Youth age groups judge independently. One 1st, one 2nd, and one 3rd place winner for each age group.

5. Developmentally Disabled (DD) premiums per division are: 1st … $25; 2nd … $15; 3rd … $10.
