Greetings from the Kentucky Angus Association and the Board of Directors.
Hope this finds you and your family well. As the days have a steady feel of cold and the warmth of sunshine is even more sought after we know December is here. We look forward to the holidays and spending some much needed time relaxing with family and friends. While we celebrate Christmas and enjoy seeing the joys on the faces of our children lets also remember the reason for the season.
The fall sales season is wrapping up in Kentucky and what a fall it has been. With breed leading genetics selling in our Commonwealth it has been solid all fall with cattle selling to buyers all across the country. Great cattle graze on our Kentucky pastures so when you need to add fresh genetics to your herd don’t forget the producer’s right here at home. The Kentucky Angus Association Christmas party will be held on December 11th at the Larue County Extension Office in Hodgenville. We would love it if you could join us for a fun evening with the Angus family. If you have not RSVP’d for the event please email kyangusassociation@ gmail.com Plans are also in the works for the 2022 Kentucky Beef Expo and the Kentucky Angus Sweepstakes show and sale. I would encourage you to look through your herds and find a nice animal or two that you can consign. It is a great event that not only has a halter division but also a pen division so you have options on how to participate. If you have questions or would like to consign animals please contact the committee chair Kris Lynn. If myself or any of the other officers and directors can be of assistance feel free to let us know. Were here to help you in any way we can. Enjoy the quality time with family and the blessings we have. Let’s not forget about the less fortunate in our communities, especially this Christmas season. See you down the road.
