Since our last home game in League One, the thrilling 3-3 draw with Montrose, we have played four matches, two each in the league and KDM Evolution Trophy.
The first of those was a disappointing defeat at Balmoor, Blair Yule sent-off as Peterhead claimed all three points despite David Eguaibor giving us hope with a second half header.
The striker was also on target a few days later as we bounced back with victory over Dundee B, a game which saw first Cove Rangers starts for teenagers Mikey Milnes and Cole Donaldson.
That was followed by a battling goalless draw against Hamilton where our injury and suspension hit squad – we had just one outfield substitute – dug deep to secure a point. The display was exemplified by Mitch Megginson putting in a man-of-the-match performance at the heart of the Cove midfield.
Our most recent outing came at Borough Briggs where the team was unable to replicate that fighting spirit, losing 1-0 to Elgin City to slip down the KDM league table.

This evening’s televised encounter with Inverness Caledonian Thistle will be another milestone for the club as we play our 200th league game since gaining promotion to the SPFL.
During that time the side has won two titles, finished runners-up in League One, contested a playoff final, and become the only side to come up through the pyramid to play
Championship football
It has been a memorable six years packed with plenty achievements for the team and many of the individuals who have made a massive contribution to our success.
Paul Hartley has been in charge for 180 of the matches so far played – Jim McIntyre took over for the first half of the 2022-23 campaign – and Paul has an impressive winning record. Under his leadership the team have won 48% of their games, losing just 29% of them, and he has claimed two league trophies.
Only five players have amassed ever-present league appearance records: Stuart McKenzie (201920 and 20-21), Blair Yule (2020-21), Connor Scully (2023-24) and both Mikey Doyle and Ryan Harrington (2024-25).
Connor has made the most appearances overall, missing just fourteen. Of his 185 games, he was called from the bench on just seven occasions.

Unsurprisingly, Mitch Megginson dominates the scoring charts, contributing 86 of the 339 goals we have netted to date, more than a quarter of the total. He is one of only four players to claim a league hat-trick during that time with Rory McAllister, Rumarn Burrell and David Eguaibor the other members of that elite group.
Our longest unbeaten run during our time in the SPFL was a remarkable twenty-seven games between October 2021 and early August 2022, and we set a record of nine straight league wins in the three months between November ’21 and January ’22, keeping a clean sheet in eight of those.
