Getting to KnowJames Park James is excited to be the newest Licensed Designer for Couture Creations starting in December 2023. James has been around crafting his entire life as his family owns a retail paper crafting store. Three years ago, at the age of 19, he started working for the family business, Scrapbooking Made Simple. Taking on the role of customer service for the shop, James quickly learned about products and manufacturers so he was able to assist customers. It was from this experience, working directly with the consumer, that James began to understand what paper crafters were looking for to enhance their crafting journey. He began making finished samples for the shop and really grew into his own crafting identity. At just 22 years old, and still working directly with consumers, he has honed the vision of his first line of dies, stamps and stencils under the brand Parkside Crafts.

He is excited for this opportunity to bring a new and fresh perspective to our industry and is thankful to Couture Creations for giving him this wonderful opportunity.

Story Behind

Parkside Craft James has always had his own perspective on design after watching his family start the Simply Defined Brand of products. He would work with products his family sold in their retail shop but always felt that they never quite spoke to his crafting aesthetic. He had started working on designs with the intention of eventually expanding his role in the family business.

Collecting inspiration from his day to day life including the stunning images found in video games, he started a journal. After meeting the owner of Couture Creations, and talking about the passion he has for the paper crafting business, the opportunity to create his own line of dies, stamps and stencils was formulated as a licenced designer under the Parkside Crafts brand for Couture Creations.
