History of The Courier: Decades of Service to the College of Arts and Sciences

Surely, every West Visayas State University student has a great college story to share – and these experiences abound at the College of Arts and Sciences.

Many CAS students can they still recall the first time stepped foot into – – and probably skidded across the polished floors of Quezon Hall, brimming withandbright scholars full of dreams ambitions.

Students may recount the various orientations, acquaintance parties,heldplaydays, and other activities bywere the college, where pictures taken to lastStudents them a may lifetime of memories. recall reading all these stories in

The Courier was able to interview Dr. Hansel Roxas, a previous adviser of the publication, who took a walk down memory lane into the history of the college publication.

The roots of the Courieradviser, can be traced to its first-ever Dr. AlbertotheJ. “A.S. Trinidad, who established Hi-Lites”, anamed newsletter for theof previouslySchool Arts and Sciences.
