Cancer support groups offer patients an opportunity to talk about their feelings and experiences and to make connections with others experiencing a similar situation. The Lakeland Cancer Peer Support Group meets the last Thursday of every month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the MFRCS Welcome Centre. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 29. The group is for anyone who has cancer, who is a cancer survivor or anyone that has been affected by cancer such as a caregiver or partner.
