News Gooding Park Near to Goal
Sliman & Butler Irrigation, Inc. recently became a Partner of the Park with a $20,000 donation to the Gooding Volunteer Group. This brings the amount raised for the East Park Playground project to $140,000 of the $150,000 goal. Leftover Controlled Hunt Tags Available

Approximately 156 deer and 161 elk controlled hunt tags not issued during the recent second drawing for deer, elk, pronghorn and black bear will go on sale first come, first served August 25 at 10 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time. Leftover tags are available for purchase at all Fish and Game license vendors, online at https://idfg. idaho.gov, or by calling 1-800-554-8685. There are no leftover tags
available for black bear or pronghorn. A list of available tags by hunt number is posted on Fish and Game’s website under the “Licenses” tab https://idfg.idaho. gov/tag/controlled-hunt/ unclaimed. Many hunters are choosing to increase their opportunity and enjoy some extra time in the field by purchasing second tags for deer and elk. Bring Back Our Theatre Cleanup & Fundraiser
Gooding Restoration for Entertainment Arts and Theatre is holding a community inspired event to clean up the inside and basement in the Schubert Theatre (402 Main Street) on Saturday, August 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in preparation for future events. Regan & Trisha Wilmore and the members of the GREAT Board will be spearheading the event with free hot dogs donated by Falls Brand, buns donated by M&W Market, Gooding; beverages donated by Pepsi-cola; popcorn donated by Franklin Building Supply and King’s of Gooding, and items donated for use by Valleywide co-op. Some great donated items will be for sale, and a continued raffle for donations of a fabulous WWI McClellan Army Saddle used by the 7th Calvary of the U.S., in the Civil War, used by army, marine Corps, and Mounted continued on page 3...
