Born on January 14, 1927 in Gooding, Idaho, to Orien Pratt and Ileta Osborne. Bonnie’s life was a beautiful journey of love and devotion. It was during her time at Gooding High School that she met her soulmate – Manuel Aspitarte whom she married on August 17, 1946. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished the blessings of their three wonderful daughters: Diane, Jolene and Jewel. Bonnie’s unwavering commitment as a wife and mother left a profound impact on her family, spanning generations with her unconditional love, selflessness and boundless compassion.
Bonnie was an extraordinary woman who touched the hearts and souls of everyone she encountered. She loved being around her friends and family, playing Bridge and bowling. Throughout her life she exuded warmth and tenderness while embracing those around her with open arms. Bonnie’s love knew no bounds, she had a unique way of making tough moments easier and was renowned for giving the best hugs. Her wit, humor and fun-loving personality was infectious. Her life was a testament to the power of love, faith and joy. Faith was the foundation of Bonnie’s life; she lived every day with an unwavering devotion to God. Though we grieve her loss, we find solace in the words of A.A. Milne, who said, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” Indeed, saying farewell to Bonnie is difficult, but let us also celebrate the remarkable legacy she leaves behind. Her life was a testament to the power of love, faith and joy, and her caring soul left an indelible impact on all who knew her. As we cherish her memory, her teachings will continue to guide and inspire us.
Bonnie is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her: Orien Pratt ~ father; Ileta Osborne ~ mother; Manuel Aspitarte ~ husband; Jolene Stackhouse ~ daughter; Donald Jordan ~ brother; Dick Jordan ~ brother; and Coy Davis ~ son-in-law.
She is survived by her cherished daughters – Diane Davis and Jewel Lee Turner; along with her beloved grandchildren: Tracy Brown, Jody Haines, Amy Stackhouse, Olen Turner Jr. and Amanda Turner. Additionally, she leaves behind her great grandchildren: Brian Brown, Jason Brown, Olen Turner III, Torin Turner, Charlotte Turner and Jaydyn Turner, as well as her great great grandchild ~ Cooper Brown.

Harmful Algal Bloom at Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir
South Central Public Health District (SCPHD) is issuing a public health advisory for Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir after recent testing from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) shows levels of a cyanotoxin, Microcystin, are now at unhealthy levels in the reservoir. Increased levels of this toxin are caused by toxin-producing cyanobacteria. Exposure to this toxin can be harmful to people, pets, and livestock.
When recreating at Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir the public is advised to take the following steps to protect their health:
Avoid exposure to water in reservoirs under a HAB health advisory. Make sure children, pets, and livestock are not exposed to the water. Do not drink water with a HAB advisory. Boiling and disinfecting DO NOT remove toxins from water.
Do not allow pets to eat dried algae
If you choose to eat fish from HAB water, remove all fat, skin, and organs before cooking. Toxins are more likely to collect in those tissues. Wash hands after handling. Cyanobacteria are a natural part of Idaho’s water bodies. When temperatures rise, their populations can bloom and toxic chemical compounds, or cyanotoxins, can be released into the water. Blooms don’t all look the same. They may look like mats, foam, spilled paint, or surface scum, and have a foul odor. Mats can be out of sight on the bottom of the water body.
HABs are not unusual in warm summer months and typically shrink quickly as the water temperature drops in mid to late fall. SCPHD will issue another press release when toxin levels are safe.
