Mobile Clinic for Women Coming to Gooding

From Pioneer Days To Modern Ways
Saturday morning, July 22nd, Lincoln County will kick off their fair time events with the 4-H Public Speaking contest at 9 a.m. followed by the Style Review contest. Both events will be held at the Community Center. Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. head on over to the rodeo grounds for Junior Rodeo. First up will be the Pee Wee events (ages 0 to 6 years) with Goat Tail Tying, Stick Horse Barrels, Dummy Head Roping, Mutton Busting, and Barrel Racing. 7 to 11-year-olds will follow with Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Flag Race, Figure 8, Breakaway, Team Roping, and Calf Riding. The Junior Rodeo will finish off with Senior Events (ages 12 to 14 years). The 4H/FAA horse show will be held next Monday at 8:30 a.m. Goat, sheep and dairy will show on Wednesday; swine on Thursday; and beef on Friday. Round Robin will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 28th, and the Market Animal Sale will be on July 29th at 11 a.m. The ever popular Ranch Rodeo will kick off the big boy rodeo events on Wednesday, July 26th, at 7 p.m. IMPRA Rodeo will be held on July 27th & 28th - 8 p.m. each evening. The Lincoln County Fair will close out their week of fun with the United Truck & Tractor Pull on Saturday, July 29, at 5 p.m.

96% of Endowment Lands Accessible
(BOISE) An updated map showing detailed access to state endowment trust lands reveal that 96 percent of the lands are accessible for recreation. Maps showing the location of endowment lands have been available online for years, but the updated map focuses on which endowment lands are accessible for recreation. The IDL also is working with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) to add the new layer to the IDFG online interactive hunt planner map. The new map shows more than 2.3 million acres of the approximately 2.4 million acres of endowment lands in Idaho can be accessed by foot or by water, and some of the lands have motorized access as well. Approximately 103,000 acres are not accessible because they are surrounded by private landowners or because activities occurring on the lands make them unsafe for the public, such as within a military training area.
