News Camas Lily Days
This Saturday, June 6th, the Annual Camas Lily Days celebration will kick off at the Kids Pond one mile east of Fairfield. Along with the help of Fish & Game’s “Take Me Fishing” program, the Camas Chamber of Commerce will host this fun event for kids. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the derby runs from 8 to 11 with prizes, Hot Dogs, and lots of family fun. If fishing isn’t your game, head on over the Camas Senior Center (129 Willow Avenue W.) for Breakfast where they will be serving Bonnie Sweet’s Famous Sourdough Pancakes. They will also be having a fundraising yard sale with all kinds of
treasures. Just across the road from the center is the City Park where you will find arts and crafts galore starting a 10 a.m. At one o’clock the music will begin with Wilson French playing up-beat, family friendly, two-part & three-part harmony. At 4 p.m. Dirty Johnny will fire up the stage with Rock and Country music. On Sunday morning, June 7th, don’t bother cooking, just come to the park for a Community Breakfast starting at 8 a.m. Arts and craft vendors will open up at 10 o’clock to give a second chance to buy that special something you won’t find anywhere else. At 2 p.m. get ready for a different kind of dancing music with the Shoban Homecoming, and don’t be shy about joining in when you are invited to join the celebration.

Cruisin’ 4 A Cure
The “Cruisin’ 4 A Cure” Poker Run fundraiser will take place this Saturday with registration at the Gooding County Fairgrounds starting at 9 a.m. There will be a meet and greet time from 10 a.m. until noon. All cars and motorcycles will take off at noon on a route from Gooding, to Wendell, to Hagerman, to Bliss, and back to the fairgrounds. Also on Saturday, June 6th, there will be a huge Yard Sale from 8 am to 3 at Columbia Bank (746 Main Street in Gooding) to raise money for Relay for Life. P&Z to Discuss Wrecking Yard
Next Monday, the Gooding County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a Special Use Permit application for property located just south of the City of Gooding.
