Education and the 2022 Elections
Candidates for state and local govenments will begin filing next Monday to be on the ballot for the May 17th Primary Election. There are many issues that are important to voters, but the one issue that has tipped the scales in recent elections is what's happening in our schools. Last year, a young Virginian man who identified as "gender fluid" was found guilty of raping a female classmate. However, that was not the main reason this event became news worthy. During a Loudoun County School Board meeting, members of the board as well as the school superintendent lied to the public regarding their knowledge of the event. They even went so far as to have the father of the young girl arrested. A few days later the NSBA (National School Boards Association) labeled the father a "domestic terrorist" in a letter to the White House. When the lies finally came to light, parents across Virginia were rightfully upset. All of this, along with a number of thoughtless comments by Democrats, led to Republican Glenn Youngkin being elected Governor of Virginia (he promised to ban the teaching of critical race theory and to push back against covid mandates).

Share Your Heart For Idaho’s Children with Cancer
Camp Rainbow Gold is kicking off another year inviting the community to Share Your Heart for Idaho’s children who have been diagnosed with cancer. For 20 years, Camp Rainbow Gold has hosted this fundraising event to celebrate the families, doctors, nurses, volunteers, and friends who uplift Idaho’s children diagnosed with cancer. In lieu of a traditional gala during the pandemic, Camp Rainbow Gold has created a new way to Share Your Heart for Idaho’s children. For the second year, supporters can personally add life, fun, and COLOR to a Field of Love art installation displayed at the summer camp. Launched in 2021, the Field of Love colors the hills of Hidden Paradise Camp in Fairfield, Idaho, welcoming campers and showing them how much they are loved. Donations made to “Buy a Heart” will host heart-shaped artwork pieced together to create an incredible, colorful installation. Help Camp Rainbow Gold reach their goal of 2,000 hearts before camp starts! Sponsorship opportunities are also available to help directly support Camp’s 2022 programs. continued on page 6...
