Minon Yates, the Director of Perioperative Services at North Canyon Medican Center, and her sisters are deeply stricken, as we all are, by the school shooting in Connecticut. These women have decided to personally help and comfort each child affected.

They are making and donating a 45x60 inch flannel tied quilt to each child survivor and have asked all hospital employees as well as others to do the same.

This is great example of philanthropy and charity. They would like all the blankets to be fairly similar and ask that they all be 45x60 inch flannel tied quilts and would like them no later than January 15th.

DEATH/SERVICE NOTICE Dorothy Spencer, 93, a resident of Gooding and formerly of Wendell, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Bennett Hills Care Center in Gooding. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church in Wendell, with Bishop Randy Andrus officiating. A viewing will be held one hour before the funeral at 10 a.m. in the Relief Society room at the church.

---------Ralph Jackson “Jack” Roper, 82, a resident of Gooding, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel. Burial will follow at a later date in Ontario, California.

---------Joseph “Joe” Bernard Sellers, 92, a resident of Wendell, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Safe Haven Homes, Magic Valley Manor in Wendell. ~ Legal Notices ~ Legal Notices ~ Board of the Camas County Commissioner Meetings Brief Synopsis of the November 2012 minutes A complete set of minutes are on file at the Clerk's office ----------------------------November 26, 2012 The meeting was called to order at 9:04 a.m. by Chair Janet Croner.

Also present were Commissioner Ken Backstrom, Commissioner Bill Davis, Prosecuting Attorney Matt Pember, and Clerk Korri Blodgett.

The Board reviewed the agenda. Commissioner Backstrom requested adding a Search & Rescue exempt plates request as Sheriff Sanders failed to contact the clerk and it is a time sensitive matter.

Commissioner Backstrom made a motion to approve the agenda with the addition of the Search & Rescue exempt plate request. Seconded by Commissioner Davis. Unanimous.

Prosecuting Attorney Matt Pember met with the Board to discuss a Warranty Deed with the State of Idaho regarding property with the Man -made project, the Challenge Cost Share Agreement, snowplowing issues, and Idaho Code Section 31-807, addressing restrictions on the interests of Commissioners in the purchase and or sale of county goods or services.

Steve Frost with the US Forest Service, met with the Board for Authorized signatures on the Challenge Cost Share Agreement between Idaho Dept. of Parks & Rec, Camas County & USDA Forest Service Sawtooth National Forest. Commissioner Backstrom made a motion to authorize the signature of the Fiscal year 2013 Annual operating plan.

Seconded by Commissioner Davis. Unanimous.

The Board reviewed a request from the Search and Rescue unit to use the county's exempt plate status. Commissioner Backstrom made a motion to approve the Soldier Mountain Search & Rescues request to use the county's exempt plate status on their utility trailer. Seconded

by Commissioner Davis. Unanimous.

Weed Supervisor Terry Lee met with the Board to review the Memorandum of Understanding between Camas County and Camas Creek Cooperative Weed Management Area. Commissioner Davis made a motion to sign the Memorandum of Understanding. Seconded by Commissioner Backstrom. Unanimous.

The Board reviewed a request from the clerk to release the Medically indigent Lien recorded as instrument # 2011-083643, as it had been denied previously. Commissioner Backstrom made a motion to approve the release of medical lien # 2011-083643. Seconded by Commissioner Davis. Unanimous.

The Board discussed the consideration of the courthouse waterline repair to be done by Kenneth Cox. Chair Croner recused herself as she is related to the individual. After some discussion the Board agreed to have the work performed by Mr. Cox., as this constitutes an emergency under Idaho Code 46-1002 and 67-2808. Commissioner Backstrom will contact Mr. Cox regarding the details of the project.

The Board recessed at 11:50 a.m.

The Board reconvened at 1:05 p.m. to discuss activities on county property with an individual in the community.

The Board adjourned at 1:35 p.m.
