Local FFA Members Attend National Agriscience Fair

The National FFA Agriscience Fair recognizes students who gain real-world, hands-on experiences in agricultural enterprises. Students use scientific principles and emerging technologies to solve complex problems related to agriculture, food, and natural resources. Middle and high school students (grades 7-12) from around the U.S. begin at the local level and progresses to state and national levels. National FFA Agriscience Fair participants are FFA members that Danica Knapp & Saree Hillstead 2nd have been selected as winners at their state’s agriscience fair. The participants must conduct a scientific research project pertaining to the agriculture and food science industries and present their findings to a panel of judges with a display Josiah Knapp & John Kinder 3rd and a report. Students can compete in the national agriscience fair in one of six categories: Animal Systems, Environmental Services/Natural Resource Systems, Food Products and Processing Systems, Plant Systems, Power, Structural and Technical Systems, and Social SciBrooklyn DeVries ence. Idaho F&G Seeks Input on Upland Game, Turkey & Furbearer Seasons

In January 2022, Idaho Fish and Game will be setting the new seasons for upland game, turkey and furbearer for 20222023. Hunters and trappers are highly encouraged to review the proposed seasons and changes and weigh in with their own comments. Comment period is open until December 10, 2021. Fish and Game staff will also host a series of open houses at Fish and Game regional offices from December 1st to 9th. Season proposals are broken down by regions, so it’s easy to find which changes pertain to each hunter’s given location. The final draft of the plan will be presented ot the Fish and Game Commission for their consideration at their January 2022 meeting at the new Fish and Game Headquarters Office in Boise. Here’s what is being proposed for our area:
