Senators Defeat Indians

by Karen Crowson In the 3A Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference, the boys basketball team, the Gooding Senators have an overall record of zero wins, eight losses, and zero ties and came out with a power ranking of -60.80. On Saturday, December 29 at the 7 p.m. game in Gooding, the Marsing Huskies defeated the Senators 53-48. In girls basketball, the teams squared off for Thursday’s games beginning at 12:30 p.m. in Jerome where the Tigers defeated the Gooding Senators 48-44 but by the 5 p.m. game the Senators defeated the Elko Indians 48-40. On Friday, December 28 in Jerome for the 10:30 a.m. game, the Senators fell to the Bishop Kelly Knights 37-50. In the 3A Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference, the girls basketball team, the Gooding Senators, had two conference wins, one loss, nine overall wins, five losses, and zero ties with a power ranking of 86.80.

First stop for the Lincoln Days tour is... Lincoln County. A Lincoln Days Banquet and auction for Lincoln County will take place on Friday, January 11th, at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln County Community Center (201 South Beverly Street) in Shoshone.
