Irish Country Meats is Europe’s leading lamb processor with a reputation for product quality and innovation. Sustainable production is the bedrock of the company’s business philosophy by “doing more with less”. Its supplier base of over 6,000 farms forms the basis for substantial engagement at farm level.

ICM are founding members of the Bord Bia Origin Green programme. It is also a founding member of the Plastics Action Alliance, a progressive collective of 10 like-minded businesses in the food production sector, with ambitious target-driven plans to reduce, recycle, and eliminate plastics from its production process, where possible. The company is the first organisation in Ireland to achieve the Gold Standard through the European Water Stewardship scheme, further acknowledging its total view of sustainable production. A significant employer in the South-East region, ICM directly employs 500 staff and indirectly supports many more local jobs.
