Designed to be a home away from home, The Gallivant is a beautifully considered beach house in tune with its location. The beauty of this venue is that the team can make the dream beach wedding a reality without the need for the logistical nightmare of a destination event. Its five miles of drop-dead gorgeous sandy beach is right on the doorstep.

Ceremonies take place inside the bright and airy Dining Room, which leads directly on to the private terrace. Connected to the main part of the hotel is a secluded decked terrace that acts as the perfect place for reception drinks when the weather is fine, and links directly to the Summer House event space. Alternatively, you have the option to take your guests over to the beach, where you can host drinks and canapés amongst the towering dunes, also an idyllic spot to watch the sun set on your special day.

Receptions take place in the main hotel. The bar is positioned perfectly between the Sitting Room, where guests can relax and catch up with loved ones, and the Dining Room, which will be transformed into a spacious dancefloor for the evening.

The Hydro Hotel boasts a light and airy feel, with large open lounges and high ceilings. Opened in 1885 as a seaside retreat, the hotel has continued to welcome guests for more than 100 years. It retains its Victorian look to this day and its Art Deco entrance and lobby are a sight to behold. Thanks to its commanding position in a quiet part of town, 120 feet above sea level, guests can benefit from the fresh sea air and find themselves captivated by the inspiring sea views.

Ceremony options include The Coastal Terrace, an outdoor opensided stone dome located in the hotel’s private gardens, overlooking the sea. If you prefer to be inside, The Drawing Room is an elegant space lined with fine art.

The Wedgewood Ballroom is located on the first floor and comes complete with private balcony. It’s characterised by its traditional Wedgewood-blue colour scheme and has a private bar and reception area. Here you can host your ceremony and your celebrations. THE COODEN BEACH HOTEL

This venue boasts a Tudor exterior and is located directly on the beach in Bexhill-on-Sea. Its red-carpet entrance leads into a mix of traditional and contemporary interiors with a private beach terrace, perfect for al fresco dining. Private gardens surround the hotel and feature a Balinese pagoda with a paved wedding aisle and truly breathtaking views. What’s more there’s ample space for guests to stay overnight with 41 en-suite bedrooms, plus a leisure club.

The Garden is a beautiful spot for your loved ones to witness your vows, as well as enjoying reception drinks, canapés and an evening firework display. The Strand Room is a spacious function space with integral dancefloor and inbuilt music and lighting. You can also use The Strand Bar, which is an intimate space with glass floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors opening onto the private gardens. BANNATYNE SPA HOTEL HASTINGS

Deep in the heart of 1066 Country between the historic towns of Battle and Hastings and set in 38 acres of formal landscaped gardens and woodland, you’ll find Bannatyne Spa Hotel. Points of interest include a large collection of rare and unusual trees collected by General Sir James Murray in the late 1700’s and by Lady Brassey in the 1800’s.

The Garden Suite is the most intimate of the ceremony spaces, located in the original Georgian country house, it’s a bright and inviting space. The picturesque Summer House Pavilion is located in the enchanting gardens and is perfect for ceremonies big or small. The Montgomerie is the largest of the suites, able to host the ceremony and reception. Situated next to the main building, it overlooks the stunning gardens and offers direct access to them. It boasts its own bar, stage, surround sound and dancefloor complete with integral lights. Creating a night to remember here should be a piece of cake!
