HEARTLANDS CORNWALL, REDRUTH
Set in 19 acres of stunning landscaped park and gardens against the backdrop of one of the most iconic buildings in Cornwall, Heartlands is an exceptional venue for weddings. The vibrant Diaspora Gardens provide a beautiful spot for big-day photographs with the iconic engine house in the background. Bounded by water, each of the gardens is themed on continents and nations important to the story of the Cornish migration, such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and North and South America. Guests can meander through the diverse and unique flora and stumble upon boulders bearing poems.
From the grandeur of the Great Hall to the more intimate and unique space found within the Engine House and the striking Glass Atrium, Heartlands is a mix of traditional Cornish granite buildings alongside newer, more minimal spaces. There’s even a free mining museum and an indoor and outdoor children’s play area.
Ceremonies take place in the Film Room, an atmospheric Grade II listed building that forms part of the original mining spaces at Heartlands for up to 200 guests. There’s also the Conservatory, a light and airy space overlooking the green that’s perfect for a smaller ceremony of up to 60 guests and the Glass Atrium drenched in natural daylight with a beautiful mezzanine gallery overlooking the iconic engine house that holds up to 30 loved ones. Alternatively, The Great Hall can accommodate up to 210 guests providing a traditional space for larger ceremonies. With a high ceiling and a beautiful wooden floor, it’s an ideal blank canvas that can be tailored to suit any theme. The Tin Room is another option offering a contemporary setting for ceremonies of up to 50 guests. The wedding breakfast and evening reception can be held in a choice of these rooms.
